Deep respect and appreciation for our firefighters and our local law enforcement. I am truly sorry that you lost one of your guys. I hope that the multi agency approach will solve the mystery behind the explosion and I hope it will help safeguard our guys against future accidents. I am praying for Anthony's speedy recovery and I'm praying for all of the firefighters, friends, family and neighbors of Brent Lovrien.

Peace,
EV

Recently a Swat team police officer was sadly lost in the line of duty and my deepest regrets go out to his family, friends and fellow officers.
But when these two brave firefighters were blown out of this building while putting their lives on the line, I had to search for a couple of sentences to even find their names. Firefighters have an equally dangerous job as police officers and I say SHAME on the Los Angeles Times and SHAME on the City of Los Angeles for not giving these brave men the same respect and recognition as they would the police.
I certainly am proud of Anthony Guzman and Brent Lovrien and I am very appreciative of their bravery and sacrifice.
