QHHMOM wrote: <quoted text> You are so right on about this one...I feel that IF you do not have bars and restaurants sporting events and other places, selling alcohol all night long there would be less Drunk Drivers....It is stupid that we go to a place for children and see people drinking and acting like fools....Chuck-e-cheese is one of them, where a kid can be a kid and you can watch your mommy and daddy get a buzz!!! These people then put their kids in the car and drive home..why do they sell beer and wine here?? I think it is stupid. one time we were there and this man was soooo drunk that he was cussing at the top of his lungs in front of all the little kids at a Birthday party and the Manager was scared of him and the people in his group that he didn't do anything, when I asked him why he was letting this man get out of control he said, well, I can't discriminate against anyone...I said you can kick him out for drunk and disorderly..he said he could not because they could make a claim against CEC..I left and made the complaint to CEC, the Manager was written up and made to give us back the money we had spent because we had left and our kids did not get to enjoy themselves...CEC said the Manager should have called the cops! I always wonder if that jerk drove his kids home... The state has not gotten tough enough on drunk drivers to make a difference. this POS (who cares what race he is)needs to be locked up for the rest of his life! also the place that served him needs to be held accountable also. My prayers are with the family...Taylor is with the angles now. So your saying you dont go to CEC anymore? You think no one should have fun at a sports bar... or a restaurant and have a drink or two??? As long as its LEGAL to drink and drive.... people are going to test the limits of alcohol...

I am shocked how many of you people are making this a race thing, it is not a race issue it is a DRINKING AND DRIVING ISSUE...In this melting pot America, there are Drunk drivers of all races...yet you narrow it down to hispanics, like they are the only one's that drive drunk, get into accidents and kill people... I do not care if this guy was yellow, white, brown or green....he chose to drink and drive and cause a death, that makes him a A POS...But some of you are just WRONG, had Taylor been a Latina and this guy had been white you would not have anything to say, some of you(and you know who you are) would have said something stupid like "oh well one down a million more to go"..I have seen it on here before! you Idiots come on here to make whatever happens where a Hispanic is involved a racial thing..."oh they are Illegal or a anchor baby" enough already! This was a horrible thing that happened to Taylor and her family, I don't think they are looking at it as Racial, they don't seem like that type of people, from what the Mother has said. I think they look at it only as they lost a beautiful soul and a great daughter and sister from a pos drunk driver. My heart is with them in this time of sorrow. And then there are the ones like you... That say "what if" ????

Here is the thing.....if you know you are gonna be drinking.......find someone to drive you there and back. My husband and I have always, make an agreement, when we go out, even if it is just one drink.....who is drinking and who is driving end of story! Why take the chance.

His fault and no one elses. The people that defend this low life should be the ones killed by these vermin. so why is he liberal?? i'm a liberal, and i think this hector guy should be drawn and quartered for what he did....i think all drunk drivers should be prosecuted, whether they killed someone or not....my sister's dad got behind the wheel drunk, passed out and hit a semi truck head on....not sure what happened to the truck driver, but my sister's dad was killed instantly....it's his own fault he was killed, he got behind the wheel of that car drunk, so no one is to blame but him. you still think liberals are bad?

When this goes to trial, lets hope the jury selection process excuses candidates who have prior DUI's or possess a Medical Marijuana Card as well as anyone in their family. This causes a tainted Jury. Just ask the family of Paul Bennett who was killed by a male driver who had a THC level off the chart. One person on the jury possesed a card and her dad drives and smokes weed all the time...so to her, not guilty. Moss and her family deserve better and so did Bennett and his family. Who's next to die by an impaired driver...it could be you.

Why don't I see anybody out of sort about that? She was drunk and stoned in broad daylight with her small kids and some other kids in her van. I did not see anybody call for her to be executed on the spot. I love that whit double standard. If he is latino deport him and/or execute him on the spot. If they are white, oh well sh** happens. I am not saying either one was right I am just making a statement. I totally agree with you; it's a good thing she killed herself in that accident, because I'm sure some family members of the others killed would have eaten her alive.

As long as its LEGAL to drink and drive.... people are going to test the limits of alcohol... NOPE, not since that happened...CEC is not a place for kids or me if it has alcohol for sale, that in my opinion gives children the wrong message that drinking and driving is alright. I do not take the kids anywhere now that has beer for sale around children...no Magic Mountain or Universal Studios or sports games. I know you are going to say I am paranoid or some sh-- like that but I want to send the message to my kids that drinking is not ok, I think that is why the kids are drinking at a earlier age now because it is sold at places kids go to have fun and they associate drunk with fun! Hell no, if you are drinking at a sports bar to have a good time I feel sorry for you, anyone that HAS to drink to have a good time has a problem people don't stop at 2 drinks at clubs and sports bars, sporting events or parties or there would not be so many drunk driving accidents, get real they go to these places to party and party they do, they let the alcohol get the best of them and think they are immortal which most times they are because they end up killing someone else! they don't think of the sh-- that could happen when they start that car! it should be ILLEGAL to drive with ANY AMOUNT of alcohol in your system! whatever, my opinion is mine, you are free to expose your children to whatever you like and I hope they grow up knowing that you don't need to drink to have fun....

Yeah, I say "what if" because most of the people talk out their A*S*S until something happens to them and they wonder why people are being so mean and writing nasty things about them...if my "WHAT IF" gets them to think before they say something to cause pain for another human being I have done a good thing.... WHAT IF you had a soul.....

My soul is just fine... Thank you :) I can say hiding the problems from children only leads them to hide things and or do them behind your back!...If you expose them to the facts... you can teach them by educating them and explaining to them its not right! Then they will see it with their own eyes. BTW... Many many people can just have one or two drinks.

I am not saying hide it from them, I educate them on alcohol and drugs, but as a good parent I refuse to subject them to it so they become use to seeing it and thinking it is ok. you want your kid around drunks that is up to you...I raised my kids and grandkids the way I feel is best for them. it is clear we do not see eye to eye on this issue, so I will not respond any longer as I have made my position on the matter known as you have also.

Why would they let this wrond-way driver out? he needs to be put away. Same as taking a gun and shooting her. Enough of this driving while under the influence. put him away. My heart goes out to this family. Always the good ones that die it seems. How sad.

It doesn't matter about race, sex, age, etc. Drunk driving is what kills people. What matters is that people need to stop. The Moss family has lost their beautiful daughter. Lorraine has lost her beautiful daughter. My sympathy goes out to the family and friends for their loss. I hope that your pride in them and your memories will help you through this difficult time. Tomorrow we will bury my best friend's son who was killed in a car accident last week. Not a drunk driver, just a careless one. Like the others, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to the Moss Family and all of Taylor's friends. No one should have to lose a child this way!! Mr. Ortiz did not only take the life of Taylor by his selfish act, BUT changed the lives of all that knew her FOREVER!! This act of a coward changed many lives and I hope that rips out his heart for years to come. He deserves NO SYMPATHY, he made the choice to drink and drive..........
