Anyone know anything about MI Window and Door Company? I was looking at changing out my windows with new vinyl ones and am looking at the MI Professional Series Window. The MI Professional Series Window that I am looking at quailfies for the new stimulus tax credit of $1,500. Anyone know if MI Professional windows are a good replacement window?

The MI Professional window is a good quality window. I had my MI Professional windows installed two weeks ago. No problems so far.

MI vinyl windows are very good windows. Mine are 3 years old and haven't had one issue. I shopped around to get the best vinyl window at the best price. MI doesn't advertise in Southern California so their prices are lower then other vinyl widnows brands. My MI windows were manufacturered in the Arizona Plant. MI vinyl windows have a lifetime warranty.

My MI Professional vinyl windows are about a year old. Very energy efficient and I got them much cheaper then other vinyl windows. I looked at the Milgard and Anlin vinyl windows and learned that MI is just as good as those window brands. I did have to call MI service for a broken lock but MI service person came out and fixed it at no charge.

I can recommend MI Professional vinyl windows. Mine are 4 months old and they are great. The new windows really help with the outside noise and my air conditioner doesn't run all the time now. I had never heard of MI windows until I had a few window companies come out to my house.

I bought MI vinyl windows when I bought my house 6 years ago. One of my windows was fogging up I called MI Windows up and they sent out their field service rep and he fixed it for free. MI Windows service is top notch.

My home was built in 2001 and it has MI 8500 series windows. So far, I have had four windows replaced(2004)due to broken seals(cloudy)and I am currently waiting for EIGHT more replacement windows for the same problem. THAT'S 12 WINDOWS IN EIGHT YEARS! My guess is that i will have to replace all of them.

I have had my MI windows for 2 years and really like them. I did have a window right after installation stick a little bit. But MI came right out and serviced it. No charge. I don't know the series but they are replacement windows not new construction. The MI windows I have are double strength glass and lowe366. I think the windows made in 2001 probably aren't as good as the ones made today.

I have the same windows in my home and they are doing the exact same thing. I have been trying to find out how to get warranty repair. Can you post the contact information you used?

My MI windows are only 1 years old but they are great. My house doesn't get as hot or cold. No issues and they work like they did when they were first installed. I know the window I got is a new product line for California.

Sue you can go to MI's website and look under warranty info. www.miwindows.com

We are the original homeowners of a home constructed in 2003 (in Charlotte as well) and nearly three-quarter of our windows (same series too) have this same EXACT problem. My husband and I are stumbling our way through filling out the warranty paperwork, which isn't very straight-forward and leaves the impression that the OWNER is responsible for the installation of the replacements. God, I hope that's not the case, because we'll find ourselves a new window manufacturer instead of dealing with MI.

Not happy with the service or window after a year. Service is very slow to fix things.

WOW! Half of you are satified and the other half are not. Maybe I'll go with adding more insulation and bag the window replacement. I have reps from three different window companies coming this week (of Feb. 8 in S. Central PA) and I'll wait to see what they have to offer.

I am a window installer and dealer in NJ, I carry Pella. I can do better using a major brand like Pella.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Scorpio

It's a frustrating and rather disappointing day because you have to cope with delays and setbacks to your plans. A travel arrangement may have to be postponed or there could be a hitch about something connected with education. You're also feeling subdued and tired, and you're longing to spend some time on your own although this may not be possible. Don't worry, this difficult mood will soon blow over.
