The first part of you post made a lot of sense, but just what has LAPD been through for the last thrity years. Overpaid, coddled, elitist attitude, lethargic .. you perhaps are a cop, but if you are not in the game in LA, you would not realize how that they have morphed into a low grade mediocre agency

Police agencies are working hand in hand with Latino groups on how to deal with illegals. It's the illegal population that is controlling the entire way of life in America these days. The illegal is more important than a U.S. citizen. It's ok to be illegal, just dont't be a U.S. citizen when doing it. lol ... Having an "X" gang banger for mayor has turnned L.A. into a third world country.

Goodmorning, Jackson, looks like a beautifull day in SP. Agree, as to Daryl Gates being the last independent Chief. Mayor V is anti 3 strikes and the Deah Penalty and has done nothing to abate the way too many halfway houses in out town .. he has been allied with groups advocating the dismantling of our state prisons .. he likesmore rehab and schools, whicfh has proved a failure .. SP is the only part of LA were hundreds of ex con can be seen marching two abreast from their halfway house around Pacific Ave to Vons on Gaffey .. through residential areas, past schools .. and these are the hard core ex cons, not the mentaly disabled ones

We have both previously posted as to the lack of response from the Harbor Div station when calling and making inquiries .. busy signals, voice mails and when someone answers, an indifferent attitude .. the management at the PD likes to hold community meetings and lay out propagands about how much they care and their innovaive strategies on fighting crime .. All bogus .. I rarely see SP cops even stoppng thugs, be it punks in cars or loitering on the streets

How do you come to this conclusion? If there was a police car on every block in Wilmington, you know that crime would go down. If there were cops every where you know that YOU would fell safe enough to walk down the streets of Wilmington at any hour during the night. Let's remove all of the cops from Wilmington and surrounding areas for one night and then tell me how safe you would feel to walk on "L" street all by yourself. I am sorry, but your statement is illogical.
I'm sorry, but your statement is illogical.

If more police officers are on patrol, more state statute violations are witnessed by police and therefore more crime statistics will be generated by those arrests and the furtherance of state criminal process, thence...crime rates increase by mere fact that police will witness more so called victim-less crimes.
As for feeling safe, I feel safe all the time, I keep sawed off shotguns for home defense, I lawfully own submachine guns and silencers for them and other firearms, I can handle both revolvers and pistols better than most cops and since I've had more crimes committed on me by police than civilians, I'll say that your assertion of cops on every street corner, although a progressive socialist democrat's dream, is a boon to more crime, whether it by more crimes witnessed or committed by police.

There was a presence from LAPD after second skateboarder died within two month. Never a presence before eventhough they had been called about skateboarders being reckless in the area. Unfortunately, they were out giving tickets (6 motorcycle cops) when skateboarders are in school 11-1 pm. Never to be seen again. A little to late if ask me.

What did you want the cops to do shoot the little peckerheads in the face? LOL, as much as people wish and hope it were a certain way, the police are not really a prevention power as police can only cite VIOLATORS and arrest people who have committed a crime. The criminal justice system intends to send a message by convicting guilty persons and punishing them. Prevention starts with people not possessing the will to harm others, prevention comes from people taking action to secure their valuables and maintain a watch over their harmful items. The government can only regulate and deal with violators of regulations. I'm not saying police cannot attempt to help people become better citizens by giving lectures at schools and whatnot, but police really can't prevent a crime, the one who would allow the crime to occur and the one who will commit the crime must do that.

Unfortunately, these illegals are not just Mexicans but El Salvardarians, Gautamallans, Ecuadorians, Purvians, Asians, Russians, we need to stop all of these countries. There was a special on dateline about Asians the pregnant women who specifically come here to the simply deliver their babies to become US citizens. They have multiple deliveries & they have a network of people here to help support these Asians to deliver here...So basically everyone takes advantage of the US.

How many names do you post under?.. it's so damn obvious .. errodes your credibility

Hopefully your observations as to cops everywhere in Wilm is valid, but do not know what to beleive from you, since you come off as borderline wacko!

FYI - A mere incease in police presence does deter crime to a minor degree. This is one of the main reasons that police cars are painted black & white. Some cities in so-cal went to all white cars back in the 70's, but soon learned it was a mistake. If one was a fly on the wall at Harbor Div it would have been interesting to observe the brass in a panic mode of covering their asses, for years of failure to adequately deploy and make lazy cops get to work. The political heat emanating from the press, city hall and the chief's office must have been like a tsunami.
They have had some weak Cpt's at the harbor, just a few years back a hobknobbing female Cpt surronded by her female Lt's, who were always in meetings LOL .. Chief Beck, needs to stop delegating so much and stay hands on in the Harbor.

Another thing, community leaders needs to make sure these cops now deployed and making there show, stay in the Harbor! Don't buy all of these computerized studies and byzantine formulas which dictate deployment. I saw a black n white coming down Pacitic Ave today, these two big cops had a damn serious no nonsense look on their faces .. much different from the usual kick back Harbor slouch. Also, Harbor div needs to start answering their business line, even if it's a civilian volunteer or explorere scout. The Capt, should institute a policy that all calls be returned the same day, particualarly during business hours (8-5 PM.

Exactly, "americans" are such slime that without armed jack booted thugs like police stepping on their necks, the "americans" would be raping and murdering each other, lol.

It's unfortunate and a disgrace to the corps that you made a comment like this and then ended with always faithful. You come accross as completely ignorant! Where is your high esprit de corps you lack what real Marines are made of and that which sets them apart from everyone else.

To LOOK OUT, LARGONE, and SP LANDLORD:

Suspect did not get away, he was inside the perimeter and was taken into custody. It's funny how people jump into conclusions right away.....as for the officers "standing" around by the school, that's what you call the command post, where decisions are made pertaining to the situation at hand. Funny how LAPD is belittled by you ignorant people like you....look around and you have people saying the same thing about the Sheriffs, Torrnace PD, and LBPD. These are never ending posts full of opinions. LAPD, Sheriffs, Torrance PD, LBPD are all great departments. None of you have the courage to do what these officers do on a daily basis. Please stay away from 911 when you are in need of assistance, I'n sure you can handle it on your own or......call the neighboring departments!

If your in the game, u know LAPD lost the hustle .. also, CP's are overstaffed in many instances .. as far as setting up a permiter in the larger since, LAPD has failed to do this on a daily basis in the hood (budget contstranits is BS). the old cliche about don't call us, because you don't appreciate us no longer holds water, since the public knows that you better get you asses in gear when needed, otherwise your Chief will get so damn much heat and it will on roll down on you already demoralized boys. U haved no fkn clue as to the expertise of SP Landlord .. Now, TPD is a different story, efficient but arrogant, which will catch up with them at some point. LBPD getting their act together, but it has been a long process for them. At least LBPD has a presence, patrol cars everywhere and I don't want to hear any budget rhetoric. LAPD is a complicated equation, but no longer efficient nor much service to the community, other than when big bad events go down. Most cops get on the job for all of the wrong reason, centering around ego, hiring the wrong cops, to many naive types from sheltered backgrounds. Don't know how to hunt, will not hunt, nor even to talk to people and I'm not talking about any untoward attitude towards the public. Fck, I could write a book if I wanted to.

Old Rampart Crash before the scandal should be the model for Wilmas.

Ever thought of getting out of El Monte .. go to nearby Monterey Park, the Chinos are law abiding and the Police there always stopping Wilmas/ELA types who look like they don't belong .. also, some bad ass young Karate Asian dudes, that Cholos are scared to mess with .. if you are law abiding and don't have the attitude, you would like to live with the Chinitos and enjoy a safe area

Jony, u are right about the cops in Wilmas interested more in themselves, that is no BS .. most have given up on Wilmas after decades of dealing with third generation
Wilmas fck ups and a community that never gets it act togethr and nutures this insane lifestyle. They could give a shit less about Wilmington, just putting in their shift, and if one of the Locos gets real crazy with them or a robbery is going down they will take care of business real fast

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aquarius

The emotional atmosphere is quite potent under this Lunar Eclipse, evoking a sense of crisis. The problems you've been experiencing with a certain person lately come to a head during the next fortnight, making you feel that you have to take drastic action or lay down the law. Yet this could make the situation worse than ever, especially if you act from a sense of panic or desperation. Take things gently and don't throw your weight around unless it's absolutely necessary.
