Recently Cnn did a show called "Latinos in America". They referred to Pico Rivera as the Latino Mayberry. It might be time to replace Andy Taylor and Barney Fife.

The manager declined comment, He still has to work there and no wonder.

Well, looks like Chris dodged that bullet for now. I hope he stays out of trouble.

I knew Tony personally and he had no affiliations.
He just rode and loved his son and his life. I couldn't say one negative thing about him. All in all, such a pleasure to have known the man for the time that I did. Everytime I hear the song "Still they ride" by Journey it remindes me of Tony. We were in a Journey trib at the time of his death.

Who's mom will shed a tear first? Perez is 43 years old! Amazing how someone not exactly considered young and reckless can so something so cold. You'd think you'd pick up something to live for by 43.
The world is a better place with people like this in jail. Let's just hope this trial keeps them there! I wouldn't seeing the death penalty brought up either.

Pico is in band shape right now. It's like a war zone out there. And they have the nerve to charge an extra point and lead the state or nation or whatever in sales tax? Laughable. I stay east of the 605. I'll go to the Target in Sante Fe Springs.

I am so glad the DA waited for more evidence. Now they can prosecute and win once and for all.
It doesn't matter that these slimballs have been free for the last 6 months. because now the police have them. Good things come to those who wait. and although it has been pure hell for these families, justice will be served. There is no answer these idiots could give to any question that would make a difference. I am a true Christian woman, but I cannot find it in my heart not to say MAY THEY ROT IN HELL!!!!!!! I truly hope they suffer for what they have done.

Do they really need guns to prosecute these 2? Weren't there plenty of eye witnesses?

If I were a family member of those who were killed, I would find a way to get money to an inmate who has nothing to loose and needs canteen money. Get it... I know you do.. Retaliation will make you feel better.. There is no better justification.. You think you'll feel better when they get life in prison????? Not! They will be taken care of at your's and my expense.. Someone has to step up.. I know I couldn't live with myself without causing harm.. Good luck!!!! You'll soon see how failed our judicial system works..

Your "eye for an eye" philosphy could result in a lot of blind people.

I join Captain Rothans in his acknowledgement of fine work by the Detectives who are working on the case. I hope this helps the victims, their families and our community heal.

You don't know what bad is. That shooting could have happened any place. And increasing public safety is one of the reasons the sales tax went up. What do you think pays for cops? Not property tax, that's for sure. With declining home prices (which were never high in Pico anyway) will come even less property tax, which means cities all over California are going to be looking for more sales tax revenue. Best for you to just move out of state!

Finally, it’s been a long 6 months waiting for these cowardly lowlifes to be arrested and charged! There off the streets… I’m hoping and praying our justice system will drop the hammer on them and any others that are involved in this senseless act of violence. I sure hope this will help the Dandini family in moving one step further in the healing process… My prayers go out to them! I lost a great friend in Tony Dandini, he may be gone but he will never be forgotten. R.I.P Tony and Garrett.
