Are these people really Stupid. Lets close ATMs and force Americans to shop or do their banking where the industries feel best for us. Are we not a nation that has a choice to do business as WE FEEL FIT. Or do we need the Corp. world to make decisions for us.
If I chose to do business say in east LA It is my choice. Now come on I would not go to a ATM in some parts of east LA Because it is MY DECESION. Not the dam Corporate or gov Decesion MINE.
Would I shop in South Phoenix yes But Hell ya their is a high chance I may get robbed in sounth Phoenix
If I chose to walk down the street in Seattle international district where I have a good chance of gettine mugged
IT IS MY CHOICE.
All this is public info and all over the internet. And the PDs have this available for us. Come on what are these people thinking. Lets take freedom and choice away from us So we do not hurt ourselves.%^&* holes

I condolence to the family I read and MOST are stated about The family wanting to Sue the bank. Suing the bank is not the issue it is that they want to sue for a Bad place at the bad time. My father ritired Denver PD I also 8 yrs law inforcement and my son back from Iraq is in Law inforcement in AZ aswell. Yes the low lifes that did this are scum and should be to blaim not the bank. That is what is wrong with the family. The family should sue the criminals not the bank. My heart goes out to the family they must be hurting. But it is NOT the banks fault. |

Sorry, for your soul, you may be Blessed everyday, but we're just passing through, just as Mylus did.I AM NOT Proud to say, if you do not confess Jesus Christ, you will not see REAL BLESSINGS, in your life.Sorry, you believe J.C.is not real but my prayer is He will show you the way before it's too late. He is RISEN, that is Jesus Christ, my friend. Caring for fellow man, and being a good person won't get you into the real mansions, in Heaven but if you really love yourself, you'll learn real wisdom and confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Material all pass away, but those who believe, will have Everlasting life. Now you need to make a BIG choice, that REALLY matters, every knee shall bow and every tongue MUST confess. God Bless you and I must kick the dust now, according to the word. He said don't force it on you, just tell you, pray and let Him do the rest. With much, Agage love. |

Yep, it's a free country, but you are wrong on freedom of choice. For example, you can't choose to rob a bank, someone else, or commit murder. BUT! You are entitled to make stupid choices. After all, it's a free country, right? Why don't you tape several $20 bills to the back of your jacket, and walk the streets of Compton at night and see if you live to see the sun rise. Because it's equal to visiting an ATM at night! |

My heart goes out to the victim's family. How do you place a price on your loved ones bad decision. We are told all the time about ATM robberies. We hear it on the news all the time. How anyone could think using the ATM in the late evening is a good choice, I can't figure it out. It doesn't matter where it is it is dangerous to do anywhere, especially if you are alone. No, B of A is not responsible for their loved ones death. No, they do not need security guards at the ATM at that hour of the night. Their defense mechanism was the security which was used to identify the criminal. Basically, what else is expected of a facility that closes at 6:00p.m. M-F and 1:00p.m. on Saturday. It is very unfortunate what happened to the victim but the bank is not responsible and no money in the world can bring their loved one back but it could help them to live better. Maybe that is what this is about.

No, you can't put a price on a loved one's bad decision. And nobody deserves to die from this, yet they do. This is why people need to learn something. That sudden choices are not exactly the wisest ones. Like withdrawing money from an ATM in a high crime area. Like Inglewood or the areas surrounding her. Some people don't realize that such a thing (being robbed/murdered) will ever happen to them. Death reaches us all, regardless of social status, race, gender, etc. But there are things or steps people can take to avoid trouble that might lead to death.
No one is blaming the victim , His family just not deserve money for this . |
Even Christ himself wouldn't use a walk-up ATM in Inglewood at 11:30 PM.
The loss of life is sad, but what is worse is that we have allowed these types of criminals to roam the streets preying on those of us that appear weak or helpless. It's time for people to stand up and tell our leaders that this is not acceptable any longer. Get rid of the politicians that do nothing about crime and force the criminals to pay for their actions. |
First, condolences to the family for their loss, but they should be ashamed of themselves for exploiting this mans death. Accidents happen, crimes, car accidents etc happen. The judge or lawyer that defends these people or gives merit to this lawsuit should be disbarred. Allowing lawsuits of this nature is why Americans feel they dont have to take responsibility for their actions or accept natural occurances, thats like saying I fell down some stairs and i want to sue who owns the stairs because there wasnt a sign that says "watch your step" It is not the Bank of America's fault. Every day and anyday things could go wrong. Thats life, good and bad.

I read everyones comments, seems all agree that it is a sad incident many a good folk die everyday and it is a shame but i agree with the above comment that the criminals should pay, not the businesses, etc and it was an incident of bad timing.

Sad yes this person died but, with ATM machines in every 7 eleven why would any one with the I.Q. of a mushroom go to a ATM where there wasn't anyone around. ATM machine, card, middle of night, sucluded area = very good chance of being robbed or killed. It's not BofA fault this person didn't use the brain God gave him. I'm sorry for his family but the problem is not the bank it's a matter of using common sense!

I can't believe this!I knew Milus and worked with him as a Customs Inspector yrs. ago. It wasn't until today when I bumped into a former coworker who just broke the news to me. I was devastated and hurt and angry! Not to mention shocked and saddened!
Milus was a genuine nice guy, a funny, gentle guy who was personable and hard working. People are so heartless. God help us! This person has taken a life and ruined several lives forever! For what, a measly of 300-350.00? Is that what a person's life is worth? This breaks my heart to hear about this. Wow, lives forever changed,so sad. I will keep both families in prayer. |
yeah, like it was really the bank's fault. whatever. too many people are after easy money. and while i feel for the families loss, why not blame the people who did it? sue them.

Where is the common sense in the world anymore? Frivilous lawsuits cost us all over. Now the bank fees will go up!

B of A can afford it, they will just pass it on to you, the consumer.
Unfortunately, whether you live in Ingle-Hood or not, everywhere you go has the potential to be dangerous. Watch your back and be aware of your surroundings. It's a cruel world out there. |
Anyone want to explain to me why it's always someone elses fault when I do something stupid. I need to get this straight.
I live near that area and I have a question - for you and for Mylus, if I could ask him. Why didn't you use the Wells Fargo ATM inside the Ralph's? Or just buy something with your ATM card and get cash back? You know, the BRIGHTLY LIT RALPH'S GROCERY STORE where there are workers and people? Now that ATM's are in grocery stores and grocery stores stay open pretty late, there's absolutely no reason to visit a dark, secluded, outside ATM in the middle of the night. I'm not blaming the victim because it's really the criminal's fault, but it just seems that, if there is a safer way to get what you need, you should take it. |
There's a 7-11 up the street and I wouldn't go there in the middle of the night if someone paid me because it's even more secluded than the B of A, but if he went just a little farther west into Culver City there are plenty of safer options. Like I said, it's still not his fault, it's the fault of the criminals - but it is better to choose a safer route instead of an "iffy" one. |
what a stupid question! |
