Locke High under extra security after brawl

Ted Hayes is dead - on! There is ethnic - cleansing going on in our inner city, browns trying to eliminate blacks - horrible! Time for Villaraigosa and his cronies to be deported!!!

I was surprised to read this about Locke High. I thought Locke was a mostly white school.

Anyone who took part in the fight only escalated it. Kick them all out for a semester . The kids should be in a learning environment away from fears and distractions. The school board should stop thinking of heads as money. Who is protecting the kids that come to learn. All the smart school officials are behaving dumb and destroying the entire school system for the kids who wish to learn. How can they ever go on to college with all this cr*p going on.

What a shame that the kids priorties have come to this. What happen to music and sports and other fun things ?

Sadly, it's just another day in the inner city. It stands to reason the the parents of these students feel just as desparate, frusterated and anxious. Therefore, its no wonder that this vicious cycle will continue until divine intervention occurs from within each and everyone's soul. Moreover, the administration will most likely create a new program to stop the bleeding with yet another band-aid for a lacerated wound--sad, very, very sad indeed.

there can be no answer to racialized people. they must be tolerated for their culture of ignorace. besides, it keeps them out of the suburbs. let us support racial ignorane and let the dark skins continue to preserve the American Dream for the rest of society.

let us support a locke(d) neighborhood.

It's time to up the penalty on graffiti, and I don't care if they are kids. I'm sick of seeing that crap all over the city on public and private property. These taggers are nearly as scummy as gang bangers.

First of all, why aren't the taggers painting over graffiti? It seams to me that would be an appropriate use of their time and energy. Their parents could join them. Turning over the school to any reorganizing entity won't work. The parents and community must take ownership of the school. Raise the standards of conduct, attendance, dress and attitude. Yes the students need to receive more appropriate job training. College is a hype, elitist in every way. Teachers spend years in school and barely make a living. The educational crisis across this country is looming. Those making the decisions are clueless and throwing money at the problem is not the answer.

If these lil animals don't want to learn, we should kick them out of school and send them to Iraq. Lil bastards have no future anyway. Future welfare abusers, criminals, and drug dealers/users of Los Angeles.

Its like were going back to the early 1990's with all of this brown vs black nonsense. This kids just make the community look bad as a whole. I was supposed to attend Locke high school but ended up attending and graduating fro Fremont H.S. When I lived In South L.A., both my neighbors on each side were African-American and we always got along great especially with my parents who are limited in english, but made the effort to communicate. That is what bothers me about these kids tarnishing the communitites image. We, as black and brown people share alot of the same struggles and are neighbors. We need to organize and help each other for our communities to grow and prosper. Teach your children!!

Coach/Al Gore- And its only the Hispanic kids causing the fights right?? You two are just as ignorant as these kids. When I did not know any better, I was involved in a few of these and racism is a two way street.Algore, despite what you may thing.... not all people who migrate here are ignorant just like not all blacks are ignorant and trust me, Ive run into alot of them. It isn't just nonsense anymore. These guys are killing each other. Heck they kill each other amongst thier own races. But you are right nieghbors need to come together to fight for thier communities. And then maybe comminities will come together to fight for thier cities.

The teacher's union fought tooth and nail against this dismal school being taken over by Green Dot next year, more concerned as always with their own jobs and seniority, lemons and pervs included, than with the kid. YEs, there are some dedicated teachers who make a sacrifice to teach in the inner city, but these giant schools with racial tensions, where almost half the kids don't graduate (most of them are Hispanic and reject the "anglo" curriculum anyway) and most are apathetic about school, clearly have been not only failures but about as bad as jails. Forcing kids into a place where they have to look over their shoulders afraid of being jumped any minute is par for the course at schools all over LA, and it's criminal.

Sadly, whites make up only 8% of the population now, and the schools their kids still feel safe at get fewer resources than these inner city failures, racial propaganda to the contrary. Yet white property owners pay the bulk of taxes for the entire school system, with poor illegals having upto half the population (total Hispanic enrollment is 3/4) and paying very little for many kids per family. Yet when they (or blacks, Asians etc.) want to get some of their share of funds for charters which do work to educate all kids safely, the UTLA and School Board Members fight it vehemently.

ALL areas outside the inner city and barrios should secede, and run their own schools. And then offer permits to kids from hellholes like Locke who want to learn safety and eschew gangs.
