He has not worked for the lab since 1988 or at least the division he was with and they are just now getting around to investigating him?

Seems more like a witch hunt because he is speaking out.

21 years before they decide to check him out and they think he would still have the same information in his computer, wonder how many computers he has owned in the last 21 years.

Sure hope he has a good attorney but if he is really guilty then that is another story.

21 years to check him out? What are you talking about? Just because he left there 21 years ago, doesn't mean he no longer has intimate knowledge of the things he was working on back then or even now. Plus meeting with Venezuela! Sorry, but he worked at a very secretive site and has met with people from a nation that is currently seeking nuclear power. This could be in violation of the UN's NPT.

They are "just now getting around to investigating him" due to recent events, it sounds like.

This guy, Leonardo Mascheroni, a naturalized United States citizen and a native of Argentina, was laid off from the Lab in 1988. He got pissed and sold some of his work, potentually classified, to an agent of the Venezuelan government for $800,000. He'd previously been investigated twice for security violations.

I always thought it was stupid of Los Alamos or Sandia to hire foreigners. They can easily take our nuclear secrets and sell them elsewhere.

If this is the same guy he always had conspiracy theories going on in his head. He is probably being investigated for threats. If it is the same guy in the x-div he used to claim that some one was trying to stop him from createing fusion by switching all the lasers over to glass rod based. When he was investigated for threats he claimed it was in retaliation for him turning them in for switching the lasers. He's a loon.

Here is what I am talking about. He had wild ideas that were not supported by science and he displayed increasingly irratic behavior.

Don't you have a friend working for Los Alamos? I am sure he would never sell out Richard.

Oh? Where do you get your info dude? The only people that could give those figures accurately would be members of the FBI, and I seriously doubt you are with them. You are SO full of it.

There's another PHD physicist, Bahzad Salami, who worked in X-Division for some 25 years, born in Iran, came to the US as a kid, and is suing the Lab after being fired for cause. Now, this is really scary. This guy, Salami, knows everything there is to know about nuclear weapons. For God's sake, X-Div designs the bombs! Why did they have an Iranian citizen working in our bomb design Division? What would happen if he gets mad and takes his weapons knowledge home to Iran?

I'm not surprised by your stupid comment. I doubt you have the brains to work there.

The fool should have read his employment contract when he went to work for the lab. The Feds can search his home, property, anything else he owns in another 30 years if they want to because he signed his rights to privacy away the day he signed his contract.

And being a former employee of Sandia, I know for a fact that neither lab hires foreigners. You really know nothing about the National Labs.

IF HE WERE AN IRANIAN CITIZEN, HE WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN HIRED IN THE FIRST PLACE!He would have had to decline his Iranian citizenship and obtained a US citizenship to be even hired. Even then, he would have not been allowed in such a top-secret place.

incorrect. LLNL, SNL, LANL and others all have "foreigners" working there in some capacity.

From your link, it is impossible to discern WHAT country he is a citizen of. If any.

I seriously doubt that he has Iranian citizenship. If you are going to try and counter this, pick a better source.

I didn't mean he might still be an Iranian citizen, just that he came from Iran. Don't you think it's a little scary thinking he might decide to return home? I wonder why, considering his background, that they let him in the design Div in the first place. In fact, if I was an Iranian bigshot, I'd be over here offering him a job for huge bucks, telling him if the US don't want you any more, come work for us!
