Study: Quake could pose risk to Los Alamos lab

An independent safety oversight board is warning that a major earthquake could cause a catastrophic fire triggering a massive radiation leak at the main plutonium laboratory at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

So why not just close that plutonium facility and stop making more nukes? We've got more than enough to destroy everything already. Nothing about them makes us any safer as a nation or as a community. This finding just confirms that.
