How come the inmates at the state penn are getting the H1N1 shots before our kids and women? I think the state health department should be addressing that question.

I tried to tell everyone that keeping the Schools open would cause a major spread of this Virus. Everyone ignored me; wait till your family gets it. Albuquerque Public Schools says; send your swine Flu kid back to school in 3 to 5 days. The CDC says that a child can be infectious up to Ten days. Way to go Albuquerque Public Schools. You have terrorized our Community with absolute ignorance and irresponsible actions resulting in 30 to 40 percent coming down with this bad Bug. This is happening nationwide. See this video from California.

There you go!

Three different viewpoints above, and none do a thing about this flu.

It's especially interesting to see Ms Worrie's desire to keep her children out of school, lol.

And, then there is Mr. Penn and his jealosy of inmates.

I believe the general information available is to keep child home until 24 hours have elapsed after the child's fever breaks. After that they are no longer infectious. However, I offer no guarantees.

It could be much worse. Far worse, remember 1917!

Well, My child got the Swine Flu from School, Several kids did. So with that in mind it has everything to do with this Flu. APS is not taking enough precautions about this.

This H1N1 is a fact of life in our society, the government and health departments are doing all they can. Whether the child should or shouldn't be in school is a matter for the parent to decide, within reason. The prevalence of it suggests that a child susceptable to it will or can get it anywhere, and not just in a school. He/she could have gotten it anywhere, perhaps even from your dog if you have one.

If the schools were closed where would the children be, confined to their bedrooms for the next year or so? More likely they would still be together doing something else and some would still get this flu.

In any event, my suggestion is to keep a sharp eye on your children and during this period of contagion, I'd take him/her to a doctor at the first sign of something wrong.

Complaining about schools, penitentiaries, and arrogant people such as myself will not save you nor any of your loved ones from this flu if it bites you.

I worry about what will happen to your kids if you keep them at home. Perhaps they will grow up to be just like you and spell worry with an ie. Perhaps homeschool is not the best option for your children.
