We all should appreciate the pro active stance being considered by the LBFD. The ONLY way we can fund the outrageous pension and benefit bonanzas awarded by local Unioncrat politicians is to drastically CUT services.

San Clemente and Yorba Linda disbanded their Police Depts in favor of the Sheriffs Dept.
Fullerton is voting on going the same thing which will save over $10Million dollars per year.

No way to term the LBFD over to a country agency but we LB can probably save $50,000,000 per year by doing it with the LBPD. Not to do so seems like such a WASTE.

Most Long Beachers do not pay taxes. Those who do simply can no longer afford to pay the political ruling class hard earned tax money only to have it shoveled down the bottomless $$$ Big School $$$ rat hole, support the privileged tax eating and taxpayer supported Thug communities in the manner to which they have grown accustomed, and still be able to fund public safety.

Failed 60s 70s era social and economic programs that were cooked up in unbelievably expensive taxpayer funded Government universities have resulted in the need for "a cop on every corner" *(so to speak)* Yet, the political ruling class tell us now that, because of Government's failed social and economic programs, they cannot afford to put a cop on every corner.

In post 60s 70s era California, the political ruling class has created a voting majority of beholden tax eaters and Thug people along with wealthy $$$ Big School $$$ operatives. These organized "community activists" use their influence with the political ruling class to see to it that their taxpayer provided "benefits" are not cut.

By contrast, the minority of Californians who pay taxes - the ordinary worker *("middle")* class who end up paying most of the taxes - have no political muscle. Even if they did, they would always be outvoted. They had better get used to more and more cuts to public safety, as well as a growing need for self-defense.
