This is breaking news? Must be a slow news day. Who would have thunk it, in this perfect town, they had underage drinking. Oh my better raise taxes to figure out how to curtail that!

You're also not going to stop speeding, so why bother to give out tickets?
Because stopping would mean that everybody would do it.

they are old enough to be drafted and sent to war but are not old enough to have a beer, as french and italian children perhaps have wine with the family dinner at the table?
oh yes drinking among the young is a serious consideration true enough, and there are respomsibilities that come with selling beer, jsut an observation here.

people screem to enforce the laws on bikers because it is popular target. but when a law is enforced against an unpopular issue then people screen how unfair. you can't have it both ways. go to work to get it changed and quit complaining.

As I have said before, Thank God for Myrtle Beach City Council. MY HOME is within the boundaries of the city. I am a LIFE LONG resident.

I can totally appreciate the need for Southern Hospitality in a tourist area. It is, however, a two way street. The visitors to our town should respect that I and my family live here too.

The laws enacted by the city do nothing to prevent ANYONE from enjoying our little speck on the map. Visitors are, as always, welcome here. The ONLY caviot is that we ask them to BEHAVE while they are here.

If you can't abide by the laws that govern our area from the old AFB to the Dunes Club, then please take one of the roads that bypasses our town and feel free to take your money with your lawless behavior and go elsewhere.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that we as a city will be better for it all in the long run.

Thank you again Mayor Rhodes and Council, I am behind you 1000%.

old enough to fight, old enough to drink. Grownups have PLENTY of drunk driving crashes, and young people plenty of sober crashes.

I'm 48 and I HATE that they raised it to 21.

Maybe, Just Maybe, one life or 3 will be saved. Myrtle Beach has to start somewhere. And family's such as Corey's or Daniel's will not have to go thru what they have been going thru since the tragic accidents occured this summer.

It Has Been Tried and Failed !! Also, when men were men and the draft was in effect the alcohol content was 3.2, Maybe if the generation of today would grow up and take some responibility things could change

I sure am glad the cops are busy worrying about underage drinking and leaving me alone. I have been taking in record profits since the CCU alcohol crack down. Keep up the good work!

Such a law abiding town. If it were not so sad, it would make me laugh. A "family beach." Where the entire family can get drunk.

Selling alcohol to underage individuals cannot be tolerated. Just because people do it doesn't make it O.K. Zero tolerance.
I know the owner cannot control the person who's working the register. They should fine the person who sells the beer. If it is the owner who sells the alcohol, then they should be fined and their license to sell alcohol & beer should be revoked.

There has to be law and order. So you think it's O.K. for everybody to go around speeding? I sincerely hope you don't feel that way. If you do, I hope you don't have a license nor have children to pass along your messed up ideas on society.

Laws are not obeyed by some people when they are not enforced. When properly enforced the lawless vanish. More unenforced laws will not accomplish this. Get some help for the police Dept when needed.
