Suicide suspected in death of Okeechobee jail inmate, 16

The death of a 16-year-old jail inmate found Tuesday hanging by a bed sheet from his cell's top bunk appears to be a suicide, according to the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office.

Why in the hell was a 16 yr old in an adult jail for 4 months before he is even up for charges?????

If I were this young mans parents I'd sue the pants off Okeechobee!!!!

Matter of fact I think I'll make several phone calls today about this matter that could have been taken care a long time a go!

You would think in this day and age they would be able to make sheets and blankets for jails that would not support the weight of an inmate to prevent this type of thing.

That's the reason the teen was there to begin with. 90% of inmates rarely had parenting done to them. Duh!

" That is rediculous" you didnt even know him. Yea, he had made mistakes & had a criminal record, but you didnt KNOW him. I hate how you people can just act like its no damn big deal! No matter wat his records says, he would have given you the shirt off his back if it was the last thing he had! "JUSTICE NOT SERVED" it will never be served till the officers that were on duty are held accountable. They should have been there! This should have never happened AT ALL!

I hope to god that you NEVER loose someone close to you like he was to me & many, by taking their own life. you need help. that is NOT a way to serve justice by taking a criminal off the streets, thats wat jail is for. I cant help the thought in my head that YOU NEED HELP! Unless you knew the REAL tony, & not just a damn record that tells you all the WRONG things he had done while he was here, you dont need to state your opinion anymore about my "Big bro"!
