California man missing near Lordsburg

Someone should clarify whether it is, or not.

Hi, Momma...this is David...can he crash with us for a while? I found him along I-10, so he must be a good dude.

"Ristovski is described as white and bald with brown eyes, 6-feet tall, weighing approximately 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, white T-shirt, black sweat pants and gray Converse shoes. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has a violent past, according to state police."

Wow...this could describe at least one-fifth of the adult white male population of Las Cruces.

With his nice taste in clothing, I especially think this gentleman could blend in with the local fashions.

His mental characteristics would allow him to either be on a bank board of directors or definitely on a chamber of commerce committee.

Just to let you all know that David is in fact a good dude and he has 2 inch scar on his forehead so you'll know for sure it's him if you see him.

How long has he been missing? Hopefully not "about 3 weeks"

Hey! I think they found his body alongside the road on I-10 in another article.

I called the police about the body off the I-10 they said this was a hispanic person and clothing did not match. David has been missing since March 9th.

I wish people would take the time to actually read the stories that they are commenting about!! To David's Brother: You are right, not only do the discription and time line not match, the body was found over 100 miles from where David was last thought to be. His trail actually led authorities to the RR tracks "near" I-10. I am curious as to whether David actually has a "violent" past or if that was just an assumption made due to the fact that he suffers from Schitzophrenia?

Great Question. David has only one prior incident in his 32yrs which I believe was self-defense. This is a huge miconception that mentally ill ppl are violent, and that's not true.

If you truly are David's brother I am so sorry to hear that this is happening to your family. Mental illness can be so difficult because most people don't take it seriously or they immediately become hateful or judgemental. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family!

Was there any indication why your brother may have disappeared like he has? Do you think there is foul play involved or did he just walk away? It's a bit intrusive, I understand if you prefer not to answer.

I'm pretty sure that there was no faul play. It's his mental condition (bipolar/paranoid schizophrenic)and when he doesn't take his medication he does things that are not rational. He did similar things in the past but somehow he would always resurface... but this time I just don't know.

He may have never gone to Lordsburg or traveled the 16 miles other news stories have mentioned. If these recently found remains are indeed your brother's, I hope knowing brings peace to your family and that he did not suffer. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/nm-hiker-f...
