Grand Opening of Orlandoa s Hottest New Nightclub - Shakers Lounge

What a beautiful night club. Going to bring all my friends. The music and dance floor was hot and the staff if beautiful. I haven't seen anything like Shakers since I was living in New York.

great!!! the music was out of this world. a mix of old school,disco and modern pop.i was there opening night,great friendly staff.

this area has been in need of a place like shakers for a long time.not the same ole some ole

On November 27, 2004 I trusted a guy after drinking and celebrating Thanksgiving with my family when
Robert Barry Jr. Told me to trust him and get into the car because he was sober enough to drive to the
Store that wasn’t even a block away. I THOUGHT with my seat belt on while sitting in the passenger seat
That I was safe and what was going to happen to me, I THOUGHT. We wound up a mile and a half down
The street in the complete opposite direction and I was a restrained passenger with a seat belt versus
Telephone poles. The Jaws of Life were needed to get me out of the car. I slipped into a Coma for eight
Days and when I awoke I asked my mother where they went. She cried and told me that the two people
That I saw, my dad Walt and her dad James(Grandpa) both have been dead for three years as she
Started crying. I joined her and told her not to lie because I just want to thank them. Thanks guys. I told
Her that they were just here and they both had their thumbs up smiling telling me to “Hold on buddy,
It’s not your time. Hold on.”I woke up and I listened to them and all that I wanted to do was hug them
And thank them for telling me because I listened. Since that day I realized that I was chosen to come to
Earth and truly just be me, tell my story to prevent this from ever happening to anyone ever again. I
Had to move eighteen hundred miles away from the place where I was stuck in limbo trying to figure out
Why everyone from both families were pointing the finger at me saying how it was just as much my fault
Because I was also drinking. I was now disabled with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) trying to make sense of
Life as well as why I was being made fun of while getting a large majority of the blame for me now being
Disabled. It was tough especially when my sister Brook Moryan married Robert Barry Jr. and they asked
Me if I was interested in being part of the wedding as a best man for Robert Barry Jr. I had to
Decline of course and when people from all over asked why what was the reason? I told them straight
Up how I hope he forgives me because I forgive him but I can’t stand there and hug and kiss him while I
Am now disabled because he made that one mistake. I am with MADD and volunteer while going to
School for Humanities . Every day, I try harder.

Really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere on opening night. Definitely coming back.

Not as hot as Jasons Martini Club in Sanford (The original).........

Great place good music staff clean no smoking in club but have place to outside in front see people come and go! And super cool art in gallery well the front part any way the Byrd guy rocks

Hey I went there once. Since it was my 1st time, they let me in with shorts and a polo even though they normally don't. Of course it didn't hurt I had a hot girl on my arm either, and girls are allowed in wearing pretty much anything

What does this story have to do woth Shakers?? I feel for you, though it is common sense to call a cab when you or anyone has had too much to drink. I hear Shakers is GREAT!

Is there anyone from the area that has been to this place? I heard its just another Why Not lounge?
