Talking about gasoline prices!!! Just this morning as I went Cumberland Farm Gas Station on Carew St, Springfield, I saw the new price on gas $3.59...this is a joke! My rent was increased, food prices are sky rocketing, medicine, child care....what are the poor people are going to do? What are the legislator doing to alleviate our concern?

The poor will get poorer and those of us who thought we were ok, won't be. legislation isn't going to to anything. we need to start using alternative fuel sources. maybe now that this is happening some of those alternatives will be realized instead of squashed. we can put a man on the moon, everyone has a cell phone, Internet in the palm of your hand, and yet we are still so dependant on oil. doesn't sound right to me.

Vacations should be the least of anyone's concern. How long before the rest of the country just gets tired of it? Then what? The Poor will remain poor, the rich will become poor and the whole class structure will crumble. Maybe those of us who have had to rent trashy apartments can get some humor out of seeing the aristocratic populous of Longmeadow moving to downtown Springfield, or South Holyoke, but really thats the only plus I see. Change the world you live in by working for change, complaining does no good.
