The word here is communication people one thought the other was watching over the child. No communication on who actauklly was suppossed to be watching the child grandma playing cards or mom just sitting around DUH maybe she was watching herself...

My fiance Evelyn Poteralski, an ER nurse at Mercy, was the one to start chest compressions and get the little girl breathing again. If not for and the quick thinking of her and the police officers, who took her to the closer Mercy Hospital rather than trying to get her to Baystate Hospital, this girl would probably not be with us today. Excellent job by all who helped! They are true angels! They acted so professionally and I am so proud of them!

Cudo's to the people who came to that young child's rescue!
Mom and Grandma should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this 'accident' to happen. Maybe someone should be looking into that child's environment to ensure she's being cared for properly...it doesn't seem like her mom or grandmom cared much.
