Suspect in 3 Mississippi slayings falls to death

Horrible story; how can anyone kill somebody must less your mother! He deserves to be dead!

Him and his girlfriend were bad news! She had an arrest warrant for a felony bad check in Meridian MS and the owners of the home had to go to court to get the freeloaders out of their house. Did a lot of damage and skipped town owing them a lot of money. They fled to his parents home to avoid arrest. He also had an arrest warrant in Meridian because he fail to register as a sex offender. Just goes to show you never know about people. I do feel for his parents. No one deserves to die like that.

This is where my grandaughter was placed temporarily after DHS received a crank call saying my daughter was physicially abusing her 5 yr.old niece.
Later,the caller was found to be the girlfriend,Kathleen Deese,of the son of Mr.and Mrs.Bernard.She was suppose to be a Good Christian Woman ten yrs.are more older than her boyfriend Anthony Garrett.A Good Woman doesn't go along with all this disception.A Good Woman doesn't join the evil.She helps show him better.
If he chooses not to follow her,God's way,than she leaves.God's way or no way.
I will learn from this story.If my children can't respect me and do what's right,I don't want them in my house.
All these people did was love this man and this is what they get.

You are right about Kathleen. She was not a good woman. She claimed to be a Christian but stole, lied, and deceived everyone around her. She rented the home in Meridian from some very good people. She lied about who she was, who she was associated with, and disrespected their home in so many ways. She left owing them thousands of dollars that they will never see. She and her no good "boyfriend" whom she told her landlords she was married to, thrashed the house and left Meridian so they would not get prosecuted. There was an arrest warrant for her and him that is why they fled to Bay St. Louis. This does not sound anything like "a good woman" to me!

He was a sick person.Raised in a Dysfunctional Family,didn't help.Uncles,Cousins,in and out of Prison.Bad examples.Daddy leaves home.
He was having trouble all his life.Finially spent 23 yrs.in prison for some kind of sexual abuse.Just got out of prison.
I wish they would include some kind of Bible based programs for these prisoners so they would learn they have a purpose.They wouldn't have so many troubled sould in prison and out.Jesus is our "Perfect Example".
Teach them the "Ten Commandments" and things which their parents failed to teach them.
Most parents were kids raising kids.Not enough Spiritual Rehabilitation in the Prisons.They get out and its like letting a cat out a bag.
The Commandment-Honor Thy Father and Mother might of helped this lad.

I know Gina but I don't think he care about being rehabilitated. He was just plain bad but what was her excuse? She claimed to be a christian. My friend who owned the house actually told her she would have to stand before God and answer for what she had done to them and all the money she cost these people. Seems it was sooner than later. I think he deserved to die for what he did and her actions caught up with her. What comes around goes around and she reaped what she had sewn.

I never meant her I thought I may have been too hard on her brother "Roy Rodgers".I did hear was a nurse and she seemed to have her life together yrs. ago when she first meant her.Rather he was a bad influence for her or they had alot in common.I don't know.I just know of her.Mrs.Jeannie Bernard used to call them,"Bonnie and Clyde".I thought she was joking,I guess not.
I have seen many make a turn around in a combination of prison,Bible based programs,etc.They weren't going around committing sex crimes and hurting other people though.Most of them were addicts.They just had to learn how to run to God instead of run to Booze or Drugs.In time they were healed?Tony enjoyed inflicting pain?He liked to choke people till they were almost dead.Sick.

Does anyone know why he did this?

Some say he was on drugs others say it was over money. Who knows for sure? My Meridian friends are just glad that he did not do it in their house. They had both he and Kathleen evicted and had a run in with him screaming and threatening them. I am just glad they got out of the situation unharmed. They told me that you could tell he was on the crazy side by just the look in his eyes. Neither of them are easily intimidated and he gave both of them the willies. If they had known that she was planning on moving him in they would have never rented to Kathleen. She told them that it was going to be her and her daughter and her daughter’s son. When they showed up to inspect the house they found 8 people living there plus two dogs, that was against the lease. They tore up their house and gave them a bad check and they were only in the house for two months. When they found out they got evicted and that the couple had filed charges for the felony bad check they both fled to Bay St. Louis to avoid prosecution. They left unpaid bills all over Meridian.

DogDay I totally agree! His mom knew about why they left Meridian because my friends spoke with her on the phone. They told her what he and Kathleen did to them and that they owed them a lot of money. She offered them no solution and no help so they pretty much just wrote it off. Seems the bad check unit in Meridian could have made more of an effort to find them. Kathleen would have gone to jail but at least she would still be alive.

You said a mouthful there - NO ONE DESERVES TO DIE LIKE THAT!! SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!!You feel for his parents - what about the other victim? You people will burn in HELL for speaking of the dead that way. I hope you reside directly beside that bastard for all of eternity. Whether they skipped town because they owed the homeowners or not is irrelevant. Do you people have no heart or compassion? Do you even value human life? Apparently not. People make mistakes. All I can say is KARMA is a BITCH. Look what happened to Mr. Garrett. Just as the good Lord took care of him - he will take care of all you who wanna judge.

And I guess you are "Christian" and "Good Woman". Ha~!!!!! Funniest thing I've heard all day. Must make you feel better about yourself to ramble on and on about how wrong she was and how she owed this and that. Seriously? You may be just as sick as he was. If any of you even knew her - you would know that she would have given the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She had compassion and valued human life as she was a RN and was damn good at it. Her only fault was being too giving and too kind. But you people know nothing about kindness or compassion for others - it's all about that "all mighty dollar". From what I can tell, you may just have more in common with Anthony Garrett than you would like to admit. There is no price that should be put on a human life.

Funny you should mention God. He knows all, sees all and hears all. I find it hard to believe you even go to church seeing as how everyone unaffectionately calls you "Jimmy's Old Whore." (JEANIE BERNARD's brother Jimmy)behind your back and to your face. Second and correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you the one lavishing praise on Kathleen when she called DHS after going to your loving, and I use the term lightly,daughter Dottie's house and seeing that poor baby. One would think that after seeing all of the pictures of that poor 4 year old baby Gianna, your granddaughters, pictures in the courtroom of her bruised and bleeding body that you wouldn't dare to talk about that lady like that. Everyone saw those pictures and saw you crying when you saw them. Now that they are dead and think no one is there to defend them you go back on what you said. Everyone knows that DHS would never take a child out of her home if she was in a safe loving environment. They do an investigation first and gather evidence and only take children away from their parents if they are in immediate danger and believe me she was. What your heinous daughter did to that defenseless baby was awful and yet here you sit and preach about that which you know nothing about. How great it must be to be you who knows it all. I guess we should start calling you God instead of the lowly piece of trash that you are, Georgina Perez, isn't that your newest last name? Or have you duped some other unsuspecting man into marrying you. Kathleen was a good woman. She was a nurse and a great one for many years and saved many lives. She believed everyone had something good in them and thought they were worth saving. Unfortunately she found one that couldn't be saved. She would give you the shirt off her back and you can ask most people in Meridian and they all have very fond memories of her. Someone stated you reap that which you sow and I pray to the Lord that is so because all of you hypocrites and liars are in deep trouble. Also I think that if you don't know all the facts then you should keep your opinions silent. I was told by many in the Garrett/Bernard/Trosclair family that you were crazy and constantly harassed poor Mrs. Jeanie and Poppa Wilton to the point where she had to be taken to the hospital for extremely high blood pressure. You should be ashamed of the things you've said on here which are mostly lies, heresay & secondhand information. I will SHARE WITH YOU THE FACTS since you seem to think you know them: Anthony Killed 3 VERY GOOd & INNOCENT people and then climbed 300 feet and fell off of a cell phone tower.

As for you, you only know what you were told which is secondhand information at best. Lies at worst. there are 3 sides to every story. Felony bad check? NO. Get your facts straight. No warrant was ever issued in her name. I however, know for a fact that Kathleen was planning on living in that house. She wanted to try to buy it. She wrote them a check in good faith. Yes it was bad. But do you know why? It was because he wrote checks all over town in her name until there was no more money and then he ran off leaving her with the debt. He came back a week or so later and apologized and said he would make amends with the landlord and repay them. He told everyone that would listen that he was working to pay them back. Everyone believed him. The next thing she knew she got a letter saying that he never paid it. I bet that friend of yours failed to mention that the "trash" they left was thousands of dollars worth of furniture, kids toys and clothes because they believed the landlord when they said they could come back and get the rest their belongings at a later date. She was a great woman and believed the best in everyone. she raised her children to be good and honest people and they are. Believe me I know. None of her children have ever been in trouble with the law and they don't do drugs. They all work and support their families. I would say she did a lot of stuff right. She was a great nurse for many years and saved many lives. People loved her. Her downfall was in believing everyone was worth saving. That everyone had at least one redeeming quality in them. I know of several people that she helped rehabilitate. She would give you the shirt of her back if you needed it and I did a time or two. I cannot tell you how many down on their luck people she gave money to or a place to stay. You should be ashamed for talking about someone when you know next to nothing about them. I don't know where you are getting your informations. Thousands of dollars in junk? I think not. They loaded up all their personal belongings in a truck and left. Not leaving a forwarding address, phone number, or anything else. Let these poor people to clean up the mess they left behind. The homeowners never heard from them again. They spent countless hours and money cleaning up the garbage that was left behind and fixing all the damage in these the home. Seems to me if Kathleen intended to pay them back she would have left a forwarding address or phone number where they could reach her. They had to pay hundreds of dollars to get someone to clean up the house, yard, and storage building. I saw with my own eyes what was done to their house and what they left behind... thousands of dollars? I think not. Were you there SouthernGirl? Did you see it with your own eyes????
