Funny, my girlfriend and I also used to call this the 'ghetto Ralph's.' We would only shop there if we needed to buy something quickly, never big shopping trips. My girlfriend would never go there alone, we'd just go to the Ralph's at the traffic circle.

You are a good man to look after your girlfriend that way. I am single so I dont have to shop at super markets or shopping centers. Fresh n Easy, Sprouts and Kmart have everything I need with no hassle and no crowds. And, so far, no fights.

HUD brings in poor blacks to the area, turning every middle-class neighborhood into a tragicomedy.
This would have been unheard of in that area 40 years ago. The difference is artificially integrating poor blacks into the area.

The closer you get to the ocean, the nicer the Ralphs get, and the customers get more beautiful. Go to the store at Marina Pacific; your eyes will pop out of your head.

Ralphs' owner Kroger is very smart -- it carefully tracks the customer base for each store and adjusts the mix of products accordingly.

I am so glad I work as a sales rep in long beach, and not live there. If it is not one thing it is another, and this incident sure takes the cake!!
