The only grocery store (NOT supermarkets) owned by Hispanics here are a couple Mexican type "ethnic" groceries in Mexican barrios that advertise in Spanish, stock foods from Mexico, hire Spanish speaking employees, cater to only Mexican customers, and those are few and far between.
Those stores will not even be around in a few years, they will be pushed out by the influx of hundreds of millions more Asians.
If you take a look at all the REAL "Supermarkets", even Food 4 Less (the "ethnic" supermarket in a lot of barrios in L.A.), is owned by RALPHS, a subsidiary of Kroger, owned by the stockholders, and the CEO and board of Directors are not Hispanic.
Then there are Safeway, Vons, Stater Brothers, Albertsons, etc... none of which are "Hispanic" owned.
Take a good look around the next time you go grocery shopping in a REAL supermarket, you will see some little old Asian guy hovering around not shopping, just watching,.... THAT is the "owner" of the franchise location or store.
The Hispanic checkers, stockers, and shift managers do NOT "own" jacksh't.
