Woman in bar attack sentenced
A San Pedro woman was sentenced to 14 years in prison Friday for a brutal attack that left a former friend in a coma.

So just because she's a mother she can't have a night out? Stupid....this person has the right to do whatever she pleases wihtout having to deal with a life changing attack. The perp got what she deserved.

Life standards and the basics ethics that we all take for granted are lost on the underclass of society. The underclass are not defined by race or socioeconomic but just a base individual who thinks it's more important to protect her homie than a defenseless young mother. It's not for us to judge that she was out or not; no one deserves this punishment -- well, the underclass or scourge of society but I guess this trash is too busy keeping her priority close to her cheap vest.

Yes, she was out at a bar, and I agree she should have been home with her youngsters at 1 AM, but this was not a "bar fight." The victim had been in the bar with friends, when the defendant and her party arrived about 30 minutes before closing time, already drunk and probably on meth. When the victim went out to smoke (and she should probably quit smoking, as well, although I think recovery from traumatic brain injury probably tops her list now), the defendant jumped her, and began ripping the victim's hair out in quarter-sized chunks, then threw her down so her partner could stomp on the young woman's head, over and over and over, while shouting out the name of a local gang. Is this how civilization works? Do we pass off a vicious attack as a "bar fight," and pretend she somehow deserved it because she was a young mother out late? I was in the courtroom, I saw the photos of the young mother's smashed head, I heard the testimony of the witnesses, I heard the obscene lies by the the defendant and her cohorts. My guess is that if you were there, you'd agree: 14 years is barely enough. |
