When I was a little girl , my dad , who was a World War II Veteran took me to all the Patriotic Parades. They were on Ocean Blvd., I believe. We had so much fun.
I'm not real sure, but I thought there were Parades down Woodruff Ave around Wardlow Rd.Am I right ? It would be a great street to have parades on again.

I applaud Long Beach for sponsoring the Veteran's Day Parade, but could they please locate it to a better part of town? I think many more people would turn out if the parade was held on 2nd Street, or Ocean Blvd, maybe in Bixby Knolls, or Near El Dorado Park. I had to park my car on Market St near Atlantic Ave, and walk quite a distance. It was not a very comfortable feeling in that area.

Thank you to ALL the Veterans..it is because of you we are allowed to have our freedoms. I was disappointed that they celebrated Veterans Day with honoring a woman who has helped with the gangs in LB...That should have been another parade...A VERTERAN is ANYONE who has served in the ARMED FORCES...which one did MS.Hollie serve in? AS for the location....it is a shame that it is there...but that councilperson along with VOlunteers...want that area to be "equal"...I will say that I was on "VERY HYPER ALERT " as I watched the parade.....while waiting for the parade to start there were police cars that sped past the entries waiting to march with lights and sirens going.....and they were not in the parade......I have to say that LB has continued to do right by the VETERANS......NOTHING.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Pisces

Go carefully, Pisces, because you could be vulnerable to those who might want to mislead you in some way. Unfortunately, you'll also do a good job of misleading yourself if you turn a blind eye to difficult situations. By taking an escapist attitude to anything that seems like too much hard work, you make a rod for your own back under current aspects. Don't persist in this for too long or it will lead to trouble.
