As long as EBT cards are still accepted at Chick Fil A. millions of obamacrats will eat there no matter what their politics. Not all EBT'ers are going to give up a great sandwich even if the Owner thinks giraffes should marry kangeroos.

My Homosexual friends and the lesbians are terrified over that thought that Chick-fil-A might open a restaurant in Long Beach which would attract proponents of Christian family values into the city. In order to allay their fears I tell them not to worry. I remind them that revolutionary Council has imposed - under penalty of revolutionary LAW!- Lowenthal grocery and goods bag harassment taxes on the minority of Long Beachers who do not pay for their groceries with taxpayer provided food stamps. So far, Big Take Out is exempt from the Long Beach Lowenthal harassment tax. Both tax payers and food eaters who use taxpayer funded food stamps can still order carry out food and have it put in Lowenthal harassment tax-free paper bags. I tell my Homosexual friends that no one knows how long that exemption will be in force. As failed Government social and economic programs result in more and more overtaxed and underrepresented Long Beachers being put on the dole, The Lowenthal harassment taxes may be extended to paper carry out bags. I tell my friends that its unlikely Chick-fill-A management wants to get entangled in the controversial tax generating "environmental" movement. Ronald

This president is so screwed up on what is right and wrong in his opinion, he can't even keep track and his ego just takes over his humming bird brain. Get wise to this two face who screws vets out of benefits but sends more soldiers over seas to their death and the cut back this man is making for the economy when we don't have jobs. Get wise to this fool!

Get wise to this fool! LB is not likely to be able to process common sense information. LB will continue to goose step to the polling places like brain frozen Zombies and vote for anything with a d beside its name on a Ballot. LB allowed the Dem Party to run Laura Richardson in their name. To the astonishment of thinking people everywhere, the voters settled for her. Citizens can't be any more pitiful than to support a Party that thinks that little of you, your family. and your hometown.

LB votes have NO IDEA of how to help a city focus on jobs, housing and many other issues like crime. They read something that impresses them and do not investigate any further and then cry when they don't get their way. Shame the stupidity of the voters and what they elected for a city counsel, mayor and political adversaries. A lot of good this has done them and now? Is it really any better?

Holy Shiite, tried to get my usual Chick-fil-a in LB at that Carson/605 shopping center - two days had to drive by because of the three block long drive through line, and the hordes in the parking lot. That place is making money hand over fist, while the IN-N-Out next to it seems to have abit less than usual, even with the Chick regulars like me who come over for a burger to avoid the chick lines.

I don't know if you ever noticed the bible quotes stamped along the bottom of your soft drink cup and In n Out, but the original owners were strongly committed Christians, and their position on gay "marriage" was obvious. So now are the gays going to rally against In n Out, since it's founder's religion implicitly forbids gay marriage? Are we now supposed to yield to peer pressure every time we want to get a take-out lunch? Eff the gays, and their silly, stupid ways. They're nothing but idiot drama queens, and have never had any coherent leadership, because they can't find anyone coherent. And that is why they will continue to fail.

George from Athens wrote: <quoted text> It is the position of this particular Libertarian!!!:-) Well, that position is inconsistent with being a Libertarian. It's like saying one is a communist nazi. Those things are inconsistent with one another. Furthermore, by stating that marriage is between one man and one woman, is denying reality, as several states and countries say that is not true, as well as several religious denominations. It's like saying marriage is only between one woman over the age of 21 years, and one man over the age of 21 years. It's not true, and saying so is a denial of reality.

The fascists who represent today's Long Beach will support Gay Thuggery. The last think the Hard Left wants is for LB to appear to be an "Inclusive", "Diverse" city. In Hard Left speeck, "diversity" means everything BUT in political point of view.

It's like saying marriage is only between one woman over the age of 21 years, and one man over the age of 21 years. It's not true, and saying so is a denial of reality. 'Nazi' is not the opposite of 'communist'. If by Nazi you mean facist...there are similarities, yet also differences - and if you're talking a historical dislike of Jews, they are similar (though not to such extreme levels...) Through-out the history of humanity, marriage has been only between a man and woman (or women). No that there have not been homosexual relationships through out history, but this is the first time that a society has tried to say they are equivalent through the traditional label of 'marriage'. As to something being so now because it is the law is some states...well, by that logic slavery should still be fine, as that was fine by law in many states until (historically) relatively recently. But yes, his views are inconsistent from a Libertarian standpoint, as one of the tenets of that line of thought is 'live and let live'; as long as you didn't bother him or others, a Libertarian wouldn't care what you did.

Actually, the fact that we don't like the idea of eating spit and feces is kind of why we're against the idea of sanctifying the practice via the institution of marriage. We are against it the same way as we would be against hanging a picture in our church of the crucifixion, depicting Jesus with a cross up his butt. Just because you enjoy it, doesn't mean we must adopt it. To insist that we do makes you a mob of fascists. Don't mind us if we resist your bullying. Now do you understand?

"Vote with your feet..." One of the more asinine editorials by the Press Telegram. They're actually advocating choosing your fast food in accordance to an officer in the businesses political beliefs. So some of us shouldn't go to McDonald's if we find out the CFO is a Libertarian? Or is pro abortion? Really? The editors of the PT are not what you'd call "intellectuals." Nothing they say should be taken seriously.
