I'm REAL sorry you have such contempt in your heart for your fellow man. I only pray one day you can understand the necessity of keeping church and state SEPARATE.

BTW, since when is someone's civil rights voted on?

How many times must I say it. Marriage is a set of default contracts, 70% of which are federal.

The trap for the same sex married would be that they erroneously believe that they are the "same as other marrieds -- they are not. Feinstein could introduce a bill to change this. Examples:

Two gays, G1 and G2 are married in CA

G1 dies. Can G2 claim an unlimited estate tax deduction on the estate of G1? No

G1 dies. Can G2, who never worked, claim a survivor share of G1's social security? No

G1 dies. Can G2 roll over G1's retirement and continue on? No.

Many more. All of these provisions can be fixed if you don't just sit back and "assume" that SSM is like a regular marriage. Everyone is much better of by planning and not assuming that "marriage is the same, no planning necessary".

So, instead of protesting Prop8, everyone should be grateful for it. Everything is predominantly federal, the decision of Congress is what will count and what is always final.

I'm hoping the Supreme Court will accept Proposition 8's definition of marriage and then rule that the State of California can no longer recognize it. It would be nice if everyone had to register as a domestic partner and take all those federal special rights away from people that H8.

Stay involved. Resist the "gay" activist agenda and bring hope and healing to America's ailing culture.

Many Americans-even Christians-are tempted to give up the "culture war" over homosexuality. After all, it looks like we're losing! The liberal media and cultural elites

approve of same-sex "unions,"
favor corporate "domestic partner" benefits,
attack the Boy Scouts and
try to silence traditional morality.

But those evils call all Americans to fight harder than ever before to defend the core Biblical truth that sexual relationships are reserved for one man and one woman united in marriage for life.

Christians especially are commanded to be "salt and light" to a confused culture.

Long Beach Gays send some very bizarre signals. First, after Richardson used blatantly homophobic scare tactics in her campaign to defeat a Lesbian Democrat opponent in a campaign for the legislature the Gay Community rewards Richardson with a Win and then elevates her to Congress??????????

Then, after doing absolutely NOTHING to actually influence the minority communties who drove the Vote Yes on 8 win, the local Dems bluster about their commitment to the Gay Community AFTER Proposition 8 wins passage and denies Gay Marriage??????????

Is the Community saying that blatant Homophobia is alright as long as the Homophobic slander is perpetrated by a Democrat? Is the Community saying that local Democrat politicians who did little to nothing in support of No on 8, BEFORE the election when it mattered, are now respected from complaining about the out come of the Election??????????

Very odd.

So many people so confused with the way this country operates. Strangely, people are deceived by churches that weren't even around when the Constitution was ratified.(Except the Catholics.)

We have a series of checks and balances. The populace isn't the final word. Prop 8 goes against the guarantees of equal protection and will be stricken down.

Will you "get over it" then?

Marriage is GODS law. Between a man and a woman. Even if gays were to change marriage it would never change with GOD. You will NOT get to heaven being married to a same sex partner. A good place to start reading is ROMANS CHAP 1. Yes on 8 was a blessing for this state, and L.B. needs to get rid of that sick gay parade. Its sin.

Don't forget they set up Frisco as a sanctuary city, encouraging an onslaught of illegal aliens who were also devoted Catholics.
Then they don't even have the balls to address, much less confront the people who really tanked their chances, instead they terrorize the Mormons!
Complete unorganized group of goofwads.
No wonder AIDs is still on the rise because of them.
Most people don't have as much of a problem with their orientation as much as, collectively, they're a bunch of weasels.

The anger coming from Gay protesters and White supremacists go hand in hand:

The Prop 8 protest is nowhere near the appearance of an Martin Luther King march. In fact, the anger, vitriol and invectives expressed by gay protesters are more in tune with the latest reaction of White Supremacists on Obama's victory. Here, check these two news out for yourself, they are almost identical:

GAY ACTIVISTS ROUGH UP ELDERLY WOMAN, USE N-WORD:

Incident happened at recent protest of Prop 8 passage.

November 12, 2008

Homosexual activists in California have roughed up an elderly woman who believes in traditional marriage.

During protests over the past several days, homosexuals angry about the passage of Proposition 8, which reserves marriage licenses for a man and a woman, have hurled the N-word against black persons walking by, marched through police blockades, pounded on doors of businesses, and protested outside churches.

The dramatic coverage was on Palm Springs' KPSP CBS 2, of 69-year-old Phyllis Burgess being assaulted, shouted at, spit at, and her cross destroyed by homosexual activists on November 7, 2008. At the urging of police, Burgess is pressing charges.

"This screaming and shouting, name-calling and pushing by homosexual activists is not unlike a small child throwing a fit because he doesn't get his way," said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families, a leading California-based pro-family organization that supports marriage for one man and one woman. "The public is getting a clue that homosexual activists don't like democracy and are willing to trample anyone and anything that gets in their way."

"How is it that those who demand tolerance from others are so intolerant of the people's vote to reserve marriage for a man and a woman?" asked Thomasson. "It looks like the No on 8 activists could use some diversity training. Homosexuals are demonstrating their intense intolerance against people of faith, people of color, and anyone who believes in real marriage between a man and a woman."

"Most people are appalled by the violent, in-your-face behavior of homosexual activists," said Thomasson. "This is very different from the peaceful marches of Martin Luther King, Jr. Of course, it has to be different. Then, people of color were asking for natural civil rights; today, homosexual activists are demanding that the public endorse their unnatural sexual behavior."

WHITE SUPREMACIST RAGE BOILS OVER AFTER OBAMA VICTORY: Racist site crashes after election.
November 13, 2008

*In the aftermath of the election victory of Barack Obama, white supremacists rushed to online discussion forums to vent anger and disbelief that voters had chosen an African-American candidate as the next president of the United States.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which monitors and exposes extremist activity and rhetoric, said anger among white supremacists and other right-wing extremists in response to Obama's victory resulted in an avalanche of vitriolic postings on racist Web sites.

At one point, the chatter so overloaded the server of the most popular white supremacist Internet forum, Stormfront, that the site was temporarily shut down.

According to ADL, racists are incredulous that Obama was elected primarily by white voters and are seething with anger at the prospect of an America led by an African-American man.

"We always expect a reaction from the bigots when events occur that they believe are contrary to their interests and worldview," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "While it's clear that race didn't matter to the vast majority of the American people in this election, race matters to racists."

The people of California, who are the source of sovereignty in this State, have spoken. The courts, the legislature, and the administrative branch of government all derive their governmental power from the people, not the other way around. The gay community would be far better off lobbying legislators to fix the inequities between Civil Unions and Traditional Marriage than they are protesting a vote for a Constitutional Ammendment banning gay marriage which has already been decided by a vote of the people. Further, protesting in front of Mormon churches when the real vote which approved Proposition 8 came from a 73% vote from the black churches seems very misplaced. Why isn't their protest carried out in front of black churches where the vote which was adverse to their interest actually took place?

Marriage is NOT God's law! It's only made LEGAL by the state...not your church. Which also make it a CIVIL right. We have learned that we dont vote on civil rights in this country, but instead leave it up to the courts. which we will...and we will win.

As a Gay man, it is frightening to see the Gay Community become just another vile, uncivilized, HATE GROUP.

For the record, many of us know that if the Democrat pols we support had supported us, we would have WON.

Instead, we earn the shame and disgrace of misdirecting our anger at Mormons.

I don't see how any one would consider us worthy of respect after the current nonsense. We are earning the status as less than.

After the last weeks antics, we seem to need no help from others in driving a bad impression of the Gay Community's value to the fabric of American soceity.

WE demand compassion but appear to be void of any compassion for others.

We have Federal and State laws to address the separation of State and Church and by their own admission churches have raised funds and used their resources to support Prop 8. We should be concentrating on seeking a reversal of tax exempt status for churches who are using their funds to influence and election.

Long Term economic sanctions against businesses owned by these religious institutions should also utilized. Boycotting Kroger Foods (Albertsons and Ralphs), FedEx, Dell Computers, PriceLine.com , the State of Utah, Sundance Film Festival, K-BIG Radio, Swift Transportation to name a few.

This fight is only the beginning; we need to be more organized and better equipped.

Keep naming the businesses, so we traditional families can support them all the more. I'll be shopping at Ralphs today while listening to K-BIG in the car and running by FedEx on my way home to drop off a package. I think a family vacation to Utah sounds good this winter.
