"The panel will consist of Lisa Hernandez, from the Long Beach Depot for Creative Reuse, Ryan Serrano of FoodScape Long Beach and Food Not Bombs Long Beach, Sharon Mosseif of the Long Beach Free Store, Christine Petit and Tony Damico, of Long Beach Time Exchange, and Eric Leocadio, Catalyst Community."

What is this crap all about?!50.00 for a brick or a plaque to say you live in a historic building? There is nothing 'so special' about this neighborhood. The one thing that is missing here is how to toke care of crime in this neighborhood and YES it still happens. What about a neighborhood watch program or crime prevention program or other realities of a neighborhood in decline?

Is it that elementary school that looks like it could be in Mexicali or TJ?

I don't get why elementary schools are closing when many are so full of cheap bungalows that there's hardly room for the students to have recess. Why not get rid of the bungalows, move some of the kids from the overloaded schools, and let the students have a far less crowded school?

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Gemini

Try as you might, you won't be able to convince a certain person to see things from your point of view. This character is far too busy letting you know that they're an individual in their own right and they won't be tied down by you. The more you push, the more they'll rebel, so try not to incite further displays of outrageousness.
