Surveillance photo of attempted kidnapping suspect released
Authorities today released a surveillance photo of a man being sought for trying to kidnap a 5-year-old girl from a clothing store in the Long Beach Towne Center mall.

This is across the street from my house. I'm getting outta here ASAP - too much crime in this area. 3 homicides this year so far around here, a random shooting... now this. I hope they arrest that man before he finds another child.

The racial identity of the person has nothing to do with being a criminal. Focus on what is important, this person is a criminal and animal lying in wait to steal a child. Simply focus on the facts.

The story does not hold together. How far away was the mother when she "saw" this guy allegedly pick up her kid. It's not like a 5-year-old is going to be over on the other side of the store trying on shoes.

this stuff happens in every city in every state. most police departments (like Irvine) do not release many crimes to up hold the "perfect place to live". the irvine police chief still thinks there are no gangs and drugs in his city.

Yeah, right. My kid's kindergarten class kept losing kids who were kidnapped out of shopping malls, Chuckie Cheese, t-ball practice, etc. |

If anyone knows the area, they know it's a high crime area with probably the most ethnic diversity in the region. There's no excuse for racism, and we should call it as it is. The situation in that Town Center was a deranged man trying to take advantage on the innocent. Keep an eye on the ball everyone!

well here it is more than a week later and the perp is still running around free. maybe it's because the guy in the photograph looks pretty much like 80 percent of the adult males in the long beach area?
