LookN 4 A Good Holiness Church That Don't Handle Snakes

Moving into the London-Laurel area and looking for a good Holiness church that don't handle snakes. Some Holiness believe in handling snakes. They scare me to death.
So recommend a good one that don't.

Winding Blade Holiness Church is a good church to go to. Claude Gilbert's church in Fariston is a good one.

I personally believe that Mark 16 is true and taking up serpents is the word of God. I doubt the poster really wants to go to EPPC or Freedom as it is now called, if he/she did they could get the same effect from a nightclub, since EPPC don't live holiness, it is a shame!!! However I have been to several holiness churches in the area, I would recommend Calvary Holiness Tabernacle, Pastor Todd Hignite. It's about a mile and a half past the state police post on 25 on the right.

SNAKE HANDLING IS NOT BIBLE SCRIPTURE.
If the snake handling churches were consistent, they would also follow the second part of Mark 16:18,“…and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all.” Scripture is consistent that God can and will protect us, according to His will, as we are serving Him. Scripture is also consistent that we are not to put the Lord to the test (Exodus 17:2; Matthew 4:7). Just as Jesus refused to jump off the pinnacle of the temple, even though God would send angels to protect Jesus, so are we to not intentionally put ourselves in situations that require God’s miraculous intervention. 1 Corinthians 10:9, while not speaking directly of snake handling in churches, says it best,“We should not test the Lord, as some of them did — and were killed by snakes.”

Old Union is too much like a Baptist church.

Try Hopewell Baptist Church on American Greeting...plenty of spirit and the music is great

I love it at 1st Pentecostal on South Main. The sp.irit is there and the teaching is wonderful. I can't say enough good things about it. Come and visit.
