He had people on both sides that got favors done. I always hoped that in my lifetime, I would see the right things considered no matter what party a person was associated with; but most of our officials, both sides, fall under money and cave in.

Here's ya a quote dawg. Your little article turns out to be another hit piece from the fa*s in New York. There's nothing illegal about it. I guess you libs want our soldiers flying around with plastic in their helicopters that you could put a hole in with a BB Gun. “Congress mandated a leakproof transmission drip pan,” said Dov Schwartz, an Army spokesman. The contract was awarded without competitive bids because Phoenix was the only company deemed “approved and certified” for the work, he said.“The number of people that make leakproof transmission dripping pans is few and far between,” Mr. Schwartz said, adding that the steel required for such pans is more costly than the plastic used in other versions.

Rogers earmarked the purchase and required they be bought from this company for $17,000 each, even though another firm had the same item available for $2500.00. Of course, I am sure the owners paying $600,000 to a lobbyist and donating thousands to Rogers was just a coincidence. I have always voted for Rogers but this ain't right and it stinks. Incidentally, this is going to be really investigated along with some other earmarks Rogers has inserted. No wonder the government is broke, paying $17,000.00 for a simple four pound metal drip pan. Give me a break.

It's just a game..it's all played the same way. You help me and I'll help you. It doesn't really matter who is in office..it's played the same way. It would be great if our leaders really cared about the country, but they don't. They care about themselves and making a name and how much money they get. The sooner everyone realizes that it doesn't really matter whose in office...the better. It's all corrupt. Our tax dollars funds one of the worse organizations...they have awful morals. They cheat and lie. But what do we do about it? Vote someone else in? Hardly..we are puppets on a string and it's all a big game to them.
