Hasan, the sole suspect in the massacre of 13 fellow US soldiers in Texas, attended the controversial Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Great Falls, Virginia, in 2001 at the same time as two of the September 11 terrorists, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt. His mother's funeral was held there in May that year.

The preacher at the time was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American-born Yemeni scholar who was banned from addressing a meeting in London by video link in August because he is accused of supporting attacks on British troops and backing terrorist organisations.

Hasan's eyes "lit up" when he mentioned his deep respect for al-Awlaki's teachings, according to a fellow Muslim officer at the Fort Hood base in Texas, the scene of Thursday's horrific shooting spree.

It was another terrorist attack on american soil by a radical muslim terrorists...This one was home grown....lets not confuse him with other muslim citizens of the U.S....or the religion itself....the man in Orlando that shot 1 and injured 5...was caucasion and christian....no one is blaming all christians for his acts....there is a line that has to be drawn....not all muslims are radical terrorists.....

But all radical terrorists are Muslim.

Somebody wants the USA. Somebody wants to displace Americans, and install their people, their government here in the USA, and because of political correctness, and Marxism/Socialism, we're giving the country away!!!

All the people the fought in combat, shed blood for freedom, died for freedom, it's all being given away without a fight. A sad, sad commentary on 'We the People.'

Muslims are not christian. Christians are those who follow Christ teachings. Muslims follow Mohammed. They think its blasphemy that Christians follow Jesus.

Don't forget the humorous shout-out by Obmama, while on TV, before commenting on the shooting, on a very light note. Obmama has no sympathy for the people killed, he may now appear to, but it does not seem genuine, in light of a shout out before commenting on the shooting, on National TV.

Religion of freedom....its in our constitution....I dont care who anyone chooses to worship....or what they think about my GOD or JESUS....there is no doubt in my mind that we were all created with just a thought.....religion has been the reason for many wars since the beginning of time....our country was created with the freedom to choose your religion and practice it freely...it is one of the reasons we are an exceptional country....if we tried to force everyone to practice the same as we do...that would make us no different than the muslim terrorist trying to cleanse the earth of us.....I will keep the freedom of religion.....

truth got 10 for 10 on spelling, and 9 out of 10 on vocabulary use

Even though I am not a fan of Muslim teachings, far from it due to their isms on women. But to blame all members of a religion for acts such as this are wrong. We have had more terrorists acts committed in America by Christians than by Muslims. No one knows how many Muslims there are in America. Not even organized Muslim Church groups know. There are some estimates that say there could be as many as six million. If all were terrorists they wouldn't have to resort to terrorism. That many could just rise up and pretty much turn America into a full war zone, if not temporarily take over. I look at the guy at Fort Hood not as a terrorist, but a traitor who acted to assist a Country we are at war with. He should be tried as such ..... treason and murder.

yes, but their religion says the more americans,(infidels) christians, jews that they can kill, the more virgins they can get in heaven. i do not want them teaching in our schools. they may suddenly go beserk and kill my child.

I don't think anyone is saying Muslims should convert to Christianity, just that the Christians in this country shouldn't trust them, and we shouldn't be putting them in positions of power
