If all the smokers in laural county would agree not to shop in london for 90 days, that would put it through the Christmas shopping season, it would send a message to the dictators in london counsel that we can put the hurt on them financially, and that we won't stand for a dictatorship, if this had been put to a public vote and the ban had passed, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Let's join together and hit them where it hurts, in their pocket book. I have not shopped or eaten out in london since this ordinance was passed and have actually saved a lot of money, prices are cheaper in Somerset and Corbin on a lot of stuff, plus now instead of going out to eat twice a week, now I go out to eat about twice a month.

I don't smoke but I disagree with the ban. I'd be happy to go along with such a boycott.

Yeah, that would be great if all the smokers quit shopping and eating in London! Then we wouldn't have to go to Lexington to get away from as much of your smoke.

You can save even more money if you would QUIT SMOKING, DUH!

Honey i stopped doing business of any kind in london when they told me what i could do and what i couldnt do. My rights are should be as good as the non smokers. I dont care who they are. And yes if it had been done by vote wouldnt have been so bad. But they knew they couldnt get it through that way. Thats why its so crooked LONDON that is

I bet it would have passed if it would have been put to a vote also since about 73% of Laurel County is Non-Smokers.

I own property in other counties, so I won't even lisence a vehicle or renew my drivers lisence in london any more, take away the tax money too.

What if you get sick , what you going to do about the hospital , they wont let you smoke there.

Let's just stick to working to put it to a vote for the city or county. That way it will be democratic, like it should be: chosen by the people. In my opinion it should be left to the owners of the business to decide. I believe the options should be (A. to vote to allow owners to decide or (B. a smoking ban as it is now. Let the majority decide.

Sometime laws are pass for the common good and I think this is one of them. We can't afford on every little law that comes up.

I dont want to be forced to smell peoples perfume and cologne but i have to and i dont bitch about it. I figure its their right to wear it if they want to, so i just move to another spot, not start bitching about it. And if you had asthma you would understand that perfume and colognes are worse on it than smoke..

I think perfume and smoking are two different things ,that a very poor argument.
