National security is compromised

Funds that could be used to protect our ports and transportation are being stripped away while our National Guard units are on constant deployments instead of being used to protect and defend us here at home.

defend us from what , do you know something that our military doesn't

Our military is being exhausted by repeated deployments, involuntary extensions, and activations of the Reserve and National Guard.

It has been thin in some spots, but it still the most powerful military on earth. Prolly where we would come short, would be sending troops in. Anyway if worse came to worse we can always bring back the draft I sure there a lot of young republican just waiting to go.

all citizens should have arms to bear just for this kind of situation.....besides thats how the national guard started in the first place....america is pretty well defended from invasion if thats what you're worried about, private armies and militias have increased in numbers nearly 500% since sept.11th so if they wanna get a bite this country will be a hard nut to crack!

I don't like it but I am a believer , I'm just tired of all the Bullshit , just like they want us to be , hang in there whoever you you.

To me the goal is more debt. Wars that go on and on and seems like there is little interest in winning , ending or withdrawing troops . Also thousands of government-sponsored methods of wasting money go on continually. Most make no sense, but they are never exposed for what they really are: siphons sucking our Nation's economic lifeblood.

I can't speak of this situation, however, on an alternative note, I do see people yapping about taxes, the govt., etc and haven't paid taxes in their entire lives. Cracks me up.

Truthfully, this is what being the United States of America with freedom has brought us to. And unfortunately the weaknesses we do have, certainly are more and more being exposed. 9/11 was a prime example of that. We educate the world only to have it used against us. As great a country as we have, we are destroying ourselves.

It is thinking material, and yes, I read where they are "breeding" an average of 10 per family to america's approx. 2.5. But this has been going on for a long time. This is NOT a current administration thing. And our nation was asleep at the wheel on 9/11 clearly and simply put. And, here we go again...it's the people, not the govt., whose greed helped that. The instructor in Fla. took all that cash for training that guy..what do you call that. They all know America is a greedy nation, thus, they capitalize on it. Yes,we are nailing our own coffins. I love my country, but we need to wake up.

You're right in the degree they've obviously shown greater smarts, and capitalize on our ignorance. They managed to do that through a couple of things. We were sleeping at the wheel before 9/11, and, as American greed played itself out, the Fla. instructor loved that tax free $10,000 cash he received for trainin them. I believe we need a wakeup call in who we need to blame and alot of that is, ourselves...our own ignorance, arrogance and greed.
