Mother nature is amazing, just like fruits and vegetables herbs need to be cultivated and harvest.
Nothing but good can come from this unique plant. We are fortunate and instead of criticizing, legalize it. People are barely scratching the surface and there is plenty more to explore. |

Tobacco, when used orally, seems to have beneficious effect on the brain. Unfortunately the tocacco combustion has a lot of bad effect on the brain bood system and the whole effect is bad for the brain. Not so for cannabis which seems to be beneficious for the brain, and the lungs and the blood system, even when smoked. The good effects repair the bad effects. Cannabis, salvia divinorum and magic mushrooms are a billion times less dangerous than smoked tobacco, alcohol and most legal corresponding medication. Indeed, the evidences are that they are beneficious: they have a positive impact on health. The illegality of cannabis is just based on scandalous propaganda and lies, for the special interests of a minority, and for the drug dealers. The illegality of cannabis leads also to the worst of all addiction: the addiction to black money and corruption. Legalize cannabis to save democracy. |

Herbs4Life and Bruno24, thanks for your posts, you both give me hope that truth will prevail. I go to many different cities topix forums and for the most part they just want to call me a pot head. I feel sorry for them because they have been lied to so much that they don't know the truth when its presented to them.
Cancer runs in my family and my sister and I are all thats left. My sister is dealing with it right now and I have never been diagnosed with it in any form, knock on wood, lol. I know that I am not immune to the forces of nature but it is good to know that herbs were put here for a reason. I won't go into any Bible references as that opens up another can of worms but it has been shown that marijuana's medical use benefits go back 10,000 years. Again, thanks to both of you for your honesty. As you can see with the Covina Ca. ISP, not everyone is happy knowing the truth, their heads are in the sand. |

Judged: 6 6 6 Bruno24. Yes. You are right. Tobacco use increases mental acuity. Its effect is the opposite effect from pot.*(There has never been any reputable study that proves the use of beneficial tobacco products is in any way detrimental to the user)* The dystopian novels were in many ways prescient of today's world. Those novels illustrated the plight of an underclass, an underclass condemned to a life of workplace drudgery. Those unfortunates were depicted as chained to the machine, ruled over by mentally aware tobacco smokers who had a heightened sense of reality. The writers, though, failed to foresee today's world where there exists a permanent - and growing - underclass of unneeded surplus labor. Rather than viewing that underclass as oppressed and victimized, perhaps we should view them as self-selecting. By condemning themselves to "tolerate" a distorted reality through the use of mind rotting pot, they have embarked on a journey towards an evolutionary "dead end". Rather than discouraging the use of pot, perhaps its use should be encouraged. If the potheads are made comfortable as they exit the stage of history into the void of the nothingness, the prospect of their revolting might be lessened. This could save much needed scarce hard earned taxpayer money. Source: http://tinyurl.com/d6s6shv *(note: Higher quality restored versions of this film are available) Ronald |

Judged: 6 6 5 Best marijuana. Yes. You are right. There is no such thing as "medical" Marijuana. Marijuana is a dangerous brain rotting class 1 illegal drug. Those who self-profess themselves so "ill" that they "need" illegal pot should be taken into custody and afforded the benefit of being put into a Government medical facility. Once there, they should be kept under close supervision by qualified medical personnel until they overcome that "need". Ronald |

Chemicals in Cigarettes: Carcinogens A carcinogen is defined as any substance that can cause or aggravate cancer. Approximately 60 of the chemicals in cigarettes are known to cause cancer. TSNAs Tobacco-specific N-nitrosamines (TSNAs) are known to be some of the most potent carcinogens present in smokeless tobacco, snuff and tobacco smoke. Benzene Benzene can be found in pesticides and gasoline. It is present in high levels in cigarette smoke and accounts for half of all human exposure to this hazardous chemical. Pesticides Pesticides are used on our lawns and gardens, and inhaled into our lungs via cigarette smoke. Formaldehyde Formaldehyde is a chemical used to preserve dead bodies, and is responsible for some of the nose, throat and eye irritation smokers experience when breathing in cigarette smoke. Chemicals in Cigarettes: Toxic Metals Toxic / heavy metals are metals and metal compounds that have the potential to harm our health when absorbed or inhaled. In very small amounts, some of these metals support life, but when taken in large amounts, can become toxic. Arsenic Commonly used in rat poison, arsenic finds its way into cigarette smoke through some of the pesticides that are used in tobacco farming. Cadmium Cadmium is a toxic heavy metal that is used in batteries. Smokers typically have twice as much cadmium in their bodies as nonsmokers. Chemicals in Cigarettes: Radioactive Toxic Metals There are a couple of toxic metals in cigarette smoke that carry an extra punch of danger for anyone breathing it in: they are radioactive. Radioactive Cigarette Smoke Lead-210 (Pb-210) and polonium-210 (Po-210) are poisonous, radioactive heavy metals that research has shown to be present in cigarette smoke. Chemicals in Cigarettes: Poisons Poison is defined as any substance that, when introduced to a living organism, causes severe physical distress or death. Science has discovered approximately 200 poisonous gases in cigarette smoke. Ammonia Ammonia compounds are commonly used in cleaning products and fertilizers. Ammonia is also used to boost the impact of nicotine in manufactured cigarettes. Carbon Monoxide Carbon monoxide is present in car exhaust and is lethal in very large amounts. Cigarette smoke can contain high levels of carbon monoxide. Hydrogen Cyanide Hydrogen cyanide was used to kill people in the gas chambers in Nazi Germany during World War II. It can be found in cigarette smoke. Nicotine Nicotine is a poison used in pesticides and is the addictive element in cigarettes. A Word About Secondhand Smoke Also known as environmental tobacco smoke, secondhand smoke is a term used to describe cigarette smoke that comes from two sources: Smoke that is exhaled by the smoker (mainstream smoke) and smoke produced by a smouldering cigarette (sidestream smoke). Secondhand smoke is known to contain at least 250 toxic chemicals, including 50 cancer-causing chemicals. According to the U.S. Surgeon General, there is no risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke. That means if you can smell cigarette smoke in the air, it could be harming your health. . It is never too late to quit smoking tobacco! |

Judged: 3 3 3 Provocateur. Your thesis "seems" to have the ring of legitimacy until one factors in the fact that those making such "studies" are the primary beneficiaries of nationalized Big Tobacco money. There has never been any legitimate study made by any reputable source that proves tobacco use is in any way harmful to the user. In fact, tobacco use is beneficial. Not only does tobacco use increase mental acuity among the "morally straight" users of tobacco, but, even though most tobacco smokers only live just as long as non-smokers - and longer than great numbers of them - the world's longest lived people are cigar smokers. Contrast that with pot use. Not only does pot destroy the mind's ability to function at a socially acceptable level, but automobile driving under the influence of pot is a KNOWN cause of death by automobile. It is not unusual to hear of pot smokers who have been convicted of lewd conduct in public restrooms zonking out and crashing their automobiles into buildings.
