What ever happened to the old Deadwood message board?

Steve destroyed it with wild accusations against all kinds of innocent people and businesses/institutions ranging from Phil Watts and KXYL to HPU. He slandered and libelled so many that it was impossible for the site to go on. Even though the site is dead and James Williamson left town, he continues to spread his hate online. He has no balls when it comes to confronting people in person but hides behind his computer 24 hours a day and continues his campaign.

All the old COB characters are here on topix, most under different names. Hez still uses the same handle and still quotes Bob Dylan and still rants about Bush. dinglegofoi is now Truth and still posts undecipherable Buddhist quotes, so he obviously never got off the drugs. Steve the fag is still Steve the fag, but also posts under many other names including Ginger. The meek little Jew woman named Gustavo Abravmel was also on COB, but I forgot her cutesie name there. Sweety Tweety is here, probably posting as gigglebutt/proud pagan. Muzzleloader from Comanche also posts under leave it to beaver.

Just to set the record straight on my part at least. I have no idea what COB even stands for, I have only been a resident of Brownwood since 2002.

I still post with the same handle as in COB. I enjoyed keeping up on Brownwood from COB when I was in OIF/OEF.

I love how I am not "off the drugs", when one of the precepts is to avoid substances which cloud the mind, or more specifically to refrain from intoxicants which lead to loss of mindfulness.

If anything, this forum and the previous forum showed what Brownwood really is.. a cesspit of intolerance with some nice people who are kept down by the majority junta.

I'm the same old Yellowdog of COB. It's great to be alive now that that idiot GWB is out of office.

I recognize a lot of the old crew. Giggle, I wish you could have known Sweety Tweety--no pagan by any means, but a TRUE Christian. A lot of the Christians on COB were the kind who would kick Jesus if He showed up in Brownwood.

It was shut down. Picture Topix but more anarchy and vulgar images. You aren't missing a thing. One member decided it would be cute to post goatse(DO NOT GO TO THAT LINK OR GOOGLE IT) all over the place. John Ivy ran the board and he did his very best to keep everything in order but it became a losing battle.

That's pretty sad when adults have to behave that way. They ruined it for themselves and others. Looks as if they just brought their vulgarity over here. Topix does not monitor anything here or even have forum moderators from what I can tell. The steve's deli blog shows just that. Then some of them are stupid enough to think I am going to name my business so they can trash me and my family like they do others who don't agree with them? I just laughed when I was asked that question. Thanks for posting, I had no idea of this other forum so was lost when they started talking about it. I don't listen to that kxyl radio station either. I did the other day for the first time in all the years I've lived here, and that was enough lol. From what I heard while listening to it for those few minutes it was a waste of my time turning the dial to get to the radio station. Burning a good music cd and popping it in the cd player is better listening to me then that nonsence.
