I can think of a dozen other things to spend this money on other than freeway improvements. Once again, the government of our fine country steps in and decides they want your property, they take it, and then undercompensate you for your troubles. Families are being uprooted here. Times are hard and it seems only the "people" are feeling the crunch while our government spends like there is no tomorrow. 79 milion dollars, WOW! I would rather that money go towards our states deficit problems instead of paying this ridiculous 10% state tax increase to bail out the current nuckleheads in Sacramento. Cailfornia is failing miserably as a business and we are always expected to bail them out with lots of money we don't even have. So leave our property alone, quit taking our rights as human beings, and start living up to the oathes in which you have sworn to. We the American people, deserve and demand that. God Bless America!!

Yep, you might be upside down.
Meanwhile, Alberto De La Cruz, a 33-year-old Rosewood Drive resident, wonders how much longer before his family will have to move. De La Cruz lives with his wife, two children and parents in the home that his father bought about 15 years ago for $104,000. The $800 monthly mortgage payments can't be beat, he said.

You do realize this is a loss of freedom and civil rights, don't you? Your right to soverign property has been lost to the faschist regime in charge of this state, and this nation, in the name of Eminent Domain.

Thanks to the corruption, the supreme court ruled a few years ago devlopers can take YOUR property in the name of "benefiting the community".

We are pawns in their game. You like it huh?

Greg, Did you vote for me?
No sir, I did not vote at all this year for several reasons. However I would like an opportunity to chat with you briefly concerning our city and it's future. It would be refreshing to talk with someone who is or used to be on the inside of politics. I hold my rights as an American close to my heart and truely value them as much blood was shed for my rights and freedom. That's how it should be. I also want what is right for ALL people and am not afraid to raise my voice against deceptive or corrupt practices. Not saying all are corrupt, but greed is consuming our American politicians. Sorry I took so much space. Look forward to hearing from you.

They are doing these people and the city a favor. I dont like going to the local merchants in that area and seeing your crappy cars on your so called lawn. Your houses wouldn't qualify for an FHA loan and they are surely not investment properties! So move out of mommy and daddy's and stand on your own two feet.

Alberto, don't be a fool ese. Sell your house and get out of that hood. Move North to Valencia Ave. or maybe Parkdale Ave. Move where the gavachos live and prosper. You've been down long enough. You owe it to your chavalitos and ruca.
