He is in jail for the same reason a person who is not a police officer, for assult. there is no self defense in the minds and action of todays police arrest. The law says the actions are this and if you don't follow them you are arrested. So equal justice for all regardless of the situation. I am sure as a police officer if he encountered the same situation he would also arrest the person for not calling the police.

He should not have been charged with a felony...especially since the original charge was assualt but a month later upgraded to a felony. The DA's office knew that Jake was fine and not as hurt as orginally thought.

Cop or not the guy tried to walk away, was hit 3 times before defending himself..waddafuq was he supposed to do?? doin a 5 year PRISON term for a misdemeanor assault rap.
