Manchin Votes Against Limiting Foreign Aid

Sen. Paul's bill, S. 3576, called for a prohibition of U.S. aid funds to the governments of Egypt, Libya and Pakistan contingent upon the release to U.S. authorities the aggressors who attacked our embassy and consulate in Egypt and Libya, respectively, and the release of Dr. Shakil Afridi, currently held by the Pakistani government.

"I will probably lose this vote, but if you ask your friends. If you go home and ask your friends should we be sending money to countries that disrespect us, that burn our flag, I think you will find 80 percent to 90 percent of the American people wouldn't send another penny...That may be why Congress has about a 10 percent approval rating."

Senator Paul predicted his bill would fail because the Senate is ignoring the will of Americans:

Washington, D.C.– U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) voted today for bipartisan legislation to create jobs for veterans by giving employers tax incentives to hire them and ending an unfair, blanket penalty on all government contractors.

“Our federal government has got to focus on creating jobs and treat people fairly, whether it’s our brave veterans who are struggling to find work, or whether it’s the small business contractors who work hard and create good jobs,” Senator Manchin said.“This bipartisan legislation just makes sense: it eliminates an unfair penalty that hurts job creation, and it creates incentives to get our veterans back to work. And I’m so encouraged to see that Senators from both parties came together today to put our veterans and small businesses before their political parties.”

This Weekend’s Announcement Gives Manchin Another Opportunity To Come Clean With West Virginia Voters

Despite the fact that he was his number one cheerleader and endorsed him in 2008, Joe Manchin has steadfastly refused to tell West Virginians if he will vote for President Barack Obama in November.

Manchin, the consummate inside the beltway politician who will say or do anything to get elected, isn’t even going to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC out of fear West Virginians will remember the role he played in putting Barack Obama in the White House four years ago.

At the 2008 convention Manchin cast his vote as a super delegate for Obama even though his opponent Hillary Clinton won West Virginia’s primary by an astonishing 41 points.

Fast forward four years and Joe Manchin is running as far away from his friend Barack Obama, as fast as humanly possible.

This weekend Republican nominee Mitt Romney gave Manchin another opportunity to come clean with his constituents when he picked Congressman Paul Ryan to be his running mate.

So the question is: since Joe Manchin refuses to say if he will vote for Barack Obama again in 2012, does that mean he will vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan?

Ryan has crafted a budget plan that would put our nation back on the track to fiscal sanity and help save entitlements. Joe Manchin’s Democrats never miss an opportunity to demonize and distort Ryan’s budget plan in an effort to scare seniors.

“I know Senator Manchin thinks it is ‘embarrassing’ when his constituents ask questions of him and hold him accountable, but his sense of entitlement won’t deter us from holding his feet to the flame,” Raese for Senate spokesman Josh Sowards said.“Sen. Manchin was eager to make clear he supported Barack Obama in 2008 and we would just respectfully request he be as forthright in 2012 as he was four years ago.”

Even if Manchin continues to stonewall, West Virginia voters are fortunate enough to have Manchin’s record to tell them where he stands.

Manchin has perfected the art of talking out of both sides of his mouth. He has claimed he opposes the Ryan budget while also claiming to be opposed to Barack Obama’s budget. The problem is, this type of ineffective leadership is what has gotten our nation into the mess we are in right now.

Exhibit A: Joe Manchin and his fellow Democrat’s who run the Senate have FAILED TO DO THEIR CONSITUTIONAL DUTY, going more than three years without passing a budget.

“We need people in Washington who will stop kicking the can down the road,” Sowards continued.“Joe Manchin and every other career politician have abdicated their responsibility. It’s time for the people to take their government back.”

Manchin likes to claim the contrary, but a quick look at his record tells the real story; Manchin has repeatedly voted with Barack Obama since going to Washington:

Voted against repealing Obamacare.

Voted supported Barack Obama’s failed $700 billion stimulus.

Voted to let Bush tax cuts expire and raise taxes on everyone and every small business in West Virginia.

Voted against cutting off funding for Planned Parenthood.

Voted to raise energy taxes.

Manchin has voted with his party nearly 90% of the time since he has been in Washington.

At last the truth comes out you aren't nothing but a racist. To bad you aren't rich like Romney then you could be singing "We're in the money we got a lot of what it takes to get along. " Romney gets in office your dreams are gonna be nightmares for a lot of hard working people.

Veterans’ Jobs Bill Blocked in the Senate By Republicans

Veterans’ Jobs Bill Blocked in the Senate
By JENNIFER STEINHAUER
Eager to shoot down President Obama’s legislative agenda just weeks
before the election, Senate Republicans on Wednesday blocked a measure
that would have provided $1 billion over five years to help veterans
find work in their communities.

The measure, which would have potentially created jobs for up to
20,000 veterans, was blocked on a procedural point by Republicans, who
argued that the bill was unpaid for. Senator Patty Murray, a
Washington Democrat and the bill’s main sponsor, said the bill would
have covered the costs in part with fees on Medicare providers and
suppliers who are delinquent on their tax bills.

The procedural vote was 58 to 40; 60 votes would have been required to
waive Republican objections.

The bill was opposed, by, among others, Senator Tom Coburn, Republican
of Oklahoma, who said he believed the bill duplicated existing job
programs for veterans that are not well run, and Senator Rand Paul,
Republican of Kentucky, who has been seeking amendments on bills that
would cut off funding to Egypt and to Pakistan until Pakistan freed
Shakil Afridi, the doctor who helped the United States find Osama bin
Laden.

“It’s both shocking and shameful that Republicans today chose to kill
a bill to put America’s veterans back to work,” Ms. Murray said in a
statement.

“At a time when one in four young veterans are unemployed,” she said,
“Republicans should have been able, for just this once, to put aside
the politics of obstruction and to help these men and women provide
for their families.”

She added that the vote was “stark reminder” that Mitch McConnell,
Senate minority leader from Kentucky, and Senate Republicans “are
willing to do absolutely anything to fulfill the pledge he made nearly
two years ago to defeat President Obama. It doesn’t matter who gets in
their way or which Americans they have to sacrifice in that pursuit,
even if it’s our nation’s veterans.”

Some Republicans, five of whom voted for the bill, also seemed
disappointed about the failure of legislation that had the veneer of
bipartisan support.“These men and women have worn our uniform,
shouldered the burden and faced unthinkable dangers in forward areas
during a very dangerous time,” Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said.

pass this on by facebook, twitter ,e-mail. help save the USA just as President Obama has.

President Obama realizes that coal is an antiquated energy source from a bygone era, much like oil. It's time for America to start depending more on renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and tidal power.

Romney wasn't good enough for your own party 4 years ago when McCain won the Republican nomination, YOU DO REMEMBER THAT, DON"T YOU??? why would any of us want to vote for second best. We need to vote out all the Republicans in the congress and then we stand a chance of getting the hard working people in this country the care and security they deserve.

You have also made the comment that you prepare taxes please be so kind as to let all of us poor people you find so dumb and incompetant; know where so that all of us can take our business elsewhere. You seem to be so wrapped up in the super rich that you obviously don't need our hard earned money.

Going shopping today? Then don't be surprised if you splash out on items that are that little bit different from your usual purchases. For instance, if you set off for the supermarket you might end up buying lots of exotic ingredients so you can experiment with them. This is unlikely to get out of hand unless you're feeling bored or fed up, in which case you'll want to spend your way out of your current mood.
