There was no need for the Deming Headlight and other newspapers to tell the whole story about this man. He made a mistake or not, we don't know all the details about his life since he left Deming. Let him go through the process and answer to his faults, just as we all have them. So he "slipped", don't we all---do we have our whole life story printed in the newspaper? What else is new in Deming? Please print more uplifting news. By the way, Sam, it's "too" funny.

It is true we don't know what his "story" is, however, I know that authorities do not extradite for misdemeanors or for less serious crimes. I think the story is news worthy and the public should know what highly placed officials are doing and have done.
Bad checks go to someone's character. If he inadvertantly "bounced" some checks, the ordinary person woiukld make good asap!!! However, it looks like he let this ride until a warrant was issued and now he faces extradition. We all reap what we sow.

We find out less info by the Headlight
when a drug deal goes bad and someone
gets killed.
All everyone states is that poor boy
wanted to grow up and be a lawyer.
This poor boy grew up to be a teacher.
So lets hang the sob.

How sad that the Deming Headlight had to spoil an event for our children. I am sure that this could have been handled in a more professional way. Too bad that all the good news going on in Deming isn't reported in the "lengthy" fashion that this article was. If someone else had done the same thing, would there have been such a thourgh coverage of their past? Did we all need to know this person's past history? I don't think so,

The Headlight did a great job of printing this bit of news. Glad to see that Mr. Stockton is finally being held accountable for his actions. It should have happened a long time ago.. My prayers go out to his children.

Background checks are always done on potential employees. Too bad that unlike some of us who can see into the future, background checks only flag actions already committed! Give me a break Farmer.

Too bad the Headlight thinks this was a front page newsworthy article. Lets not talk seriously about the poor city government, the lack of community support of the schools, the corrupt County Government, and all the daily drug dealings... NO lets talk about a man who has LONG left Deming and plays no role in the district schools anymore! Come on Headlight! Get your act together!

My understanding of this is that Mr. Stockton received a paycheck that was deposited into his account at Wells Fargo in Texas. This check was written to him. He endorsed it and deposited into his account. The writer of the check (Clayton Wheeler Hobbs) was sent to federal prison for Medicare Fraud. Mr. Stockton did not write the check.

I think it is relevant. He was very important figure in this community. A high school principal is more important than the mayor or the county commissioner, why because he influences our youth.
You are the problem and you need to stop making excuses for your own. Change starts from the top to the bottom not from the bottom to the top. Leadership not betrayal.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Scorpio

This is not the easiest day for concentrating on what needs to be done, whether tackling those Christmas cards and letters, writing out a list of jobs, or getting on with other urgent work. Mental activity seems to be blocked, as Mars is slowing and Mercury is under cosmic pressure. Take some time out for meditation, or reflection, and let your subconscious do the work.
