this facility was made to help people get off drugs and is in fact just a shock treatment program in disguise.

I just got out of Willard. The program is good, but the peers and some staff are NOT
If you want an alternative to prison, it is an awesome one

Please give more details. A family member might be sent there. What kind of 'shock therapy'?
Is it more of a prison atmosphere or a rehab?

We are afraid that a family member may have to go there. Could you please describe the atmosphere there.
Thanks for your kindness.

I did Willard twice. The vast majority of "INMATES" there are only participating because the program is forced upon you for only ninety days as opposed to alternatives, such as real prisons for one year or more.
"The staff and participants work together to establish and maintain a positive gowth filled environment." True. There is potentially a positive and enlightening opportunity to learn about who you are and where your going.
But you won't catch me volunteering again.

Willard is about 5-6 hours from the city. Its in Seneca county. I have someone close to me who just started Willard, Im looking forward to hearing about his experience as they are only allowed 2 phone calls a month.
If you call the facility, they will give you a list of bus/vans services they collaborate with for visiting. This site doesn't allow me to post the phone number.. http://www.docs.state.ny.us/faclist.html is the NYS DOC's facility listing.

Well I know that my boyfriend will be in the Bronx by 1pm on his release date. I believe they release them in the morning b/c their graduation is the day prior.

I would assume they get them up as usual at 5:30 and they're out of there by 7:30-8am.

My boyfriend is there now I believe you start counting from the 1st day they arrive. atleast we follow our countdown from there his release date in in July he went in on april... they follow a call one week and visit the next with no phone call. so its about 2 calls a month and 2 visits a month. Also u have to turn ur collect call one through global tel link. Its no regular phone call. the parole clothes cannot have any logos so im planning to send just plain t shirt and plain blue jeans. Tell your partner to send you a letter from the facility that gives you great info about rules and parole clothes etc... I hope i was helpful.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Gemini

Grit your teeth as Mars turns retrograde, as things annoyingly don't go to plan. Certain people are going out of their way to be difficult. Is an older relative throwing the proverbial weight around and telling you what to do? The greater the gap between your ages or social status, the more irritated you'll be.
