just a quick reminder to all parents who's daughters/son's compete in pageants. THE SAME WOMEN WHO ORGANIZED THE MR/MS PINSON VALLEY, EARLIER THIS YR., IS HELPING ORGANIZE THE BUTTERBEAN PAGEANT. I'm sure many of you remember the comments posted on this site about how biased and unfair the judging was. It is obvious that if you are not a cousin, friend, neighbor, ect, of those helping to organize this pageant... YOU ARE THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY.

welcome to small town-small minded alabama, honey. Your mayor down there needs a swift kick in the butt, too. I don't know who he thinks he is...but I know what he is. I spent some miserable time as a child in Pinson and went to church with him and his wretched family. UGH!!!!

So....I might not be putting my child in the pageant this year. That sounds like something PINSON would do. That church is full of hypocrites and selffish people. It's VERY sad!

I'd like to say that none of you know what your talking about regarding the Little Miss Pinson Valley Pageant. Two of my granddaughters won their age groups and nobody in my family knows a single person that helped organize this pageant.

I just wanted to clear this up. I actually judged the pageant last year. I do not know anyone affiliated with this pageant and I brought the other judges with me!! I am contacted and then I have a list of other judges that I know personally and I call them. I do not know anyone in the pageant or in the community. If someone's daughter won it is because she earned the title. I take my job seriously and want the pageants that I judge to be fair and unbiased. I have judged other pageants and have opted to leave because of a desired list of winners given to me. I do not and will not "pick" a winner based on who the child's parents are.
I have judged locally, and nationally and have over 15 years experience.

Hi everyone,
I know how you feel, I really thought that all pagenats were rigged, but they aren't. If they were, my grand-daughter would not have won. She is Greek. If you are familiar with Pinson, she is not at all like the folks there and I can promise you that my daughter didn't have a clue who the judges were. I didn't even get to go to the pageant.
My kids grew up in Locust Fork and were "outsiders" the whole time that they were there. I can not tell you how it felt to see the same girls place year after year and feel as if your child doesn't have a chance. My daughter won Miss Locust Fork. Honestly, she had to look down at the number on her gown to be sure that they had called out her number. You could have heard a pin drop... and it was a good long pause. I wasn't sure if they were going to cheer or boo. Finally, they begin to cheer.
Back to Pinson, which is just down the road, the baby didn't even realize what everyone was thinking, she just knew that it was great fun for her. She always gets excited and bounces, grins, and other funny things. I saw the pictures of the children and there were many adorable children. My daughter and grand daughter don't always win either. I hope that you will be happy and just have fun with it.
Take care.
