Suspect Charged In Chase Which Critically Injured Officer

Lockland Police Officer Brandon Gehring was near the end of his overnight shift Monday morning when he heard a call about West Chester Police pursing a suspect Southbound on I-75. Officer Gehring stopped his cruiser just beneath the Shepherd Lane overpass and deployed stop sticks onto the interstate to try and disable the fleeing vehicle.

Well I hope the cop gets better and is healthy. I wonder though, if it was a citizen and not a cop that hit him, would that citizen now be facing charges?

Too bad the stupid pillhead did not hit a solid bridge support at that speed. He had been in trouble over and over again. A body bag costs less than a prison cell.
