After some additional research, we found that the J.K. Rishel company made cabinets for the Rishell Phonograph Company, also of Williamsport. Both spellings of the name are common in family histories, so it's entirely possible that the owners of the two companies were related.

I have a vanity with a brass plate naming JK Rishel Furniture Co., Williamsport, PA set into one of the dovetailed side drawers. Does this furniture or piece have any value today on the market?
