I think it would be pretty sad if they put in an adult book store if they won't do something for the kids of Overton County! Lets get something for the kids first, then talk about an adult bookstore!

Yes we do need things for the kids. BUT people are gonna open a business that is gonna make them money. An adult book store would prob thrive in this town. I dont think the uptight people in power will ever allow it though. I personally would not go to an adult book store but I do not look down on people that do. Any business that brings money to town should be welcomed as long as it is legal. Now about the kids. Yes we need something for them to do and there is a post on here called "Outdoor theme park" (something like that) If you are relly concered about the kids read this post and get involved. They are having a meeting soon and I for one will be there. Please check it out.

If you remember Livingston had a porn store once. Sam Arney turned the video store into a 18 and older only store that sold porn videos, toys, beer, and tobacco. Saw how long that lasted.

I respectfully disagree with you, we need quality books for adults. We have many sources for kids books which include school, church and civic organizations. Therefore I think an adult book store would be a great idea and I got all excited when I heard the news and its great for our community. I for one am looking foward to suporting it or any organization that gets an adult book store.

LOL!!! You said it! The commissioners past and present have flat refused to allow any kind of tax base in this place and now we are reaping what was sown. Just the few store owners that have always controlled things will be left controlling nothing. As I have said before, we will watch our children grow up and move away to find a better life, I for one am going with them!

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aries

Financial muddles are more than likely today so be careful if you're going shopping. You might be accidentally short-changed or there could be a misunderstanding about how much something costs. This isn't a good day to lend friends anything valuable in case they don't return it or they damage it in some way. Better safe than sorry.
