Doral Tires

Has anyone ever heard of Doral Tires? No, they are not made by the ciggarette company. Wondered that myself. I have tried to look them up on Internet, but can't find much info on them. My mom went to Kent's Wholesale Tires in Clarkrange today to get tires put on her 06 Honda Civic. They put Doral Tires on there. Never heard of them. They say Treadwear 400 Temperature A and Traction A. I know nothing much about tires, but on my tires on my car it says my treadwear is 780. I would think the higher the number the better, but I'm not sure. Can someone please let me know if 400 treadwear is really bad? I just want to make sure she is safe, and if the tires are not safe I am going to take them back. They may be great tires I don't know. I read a couple posts online, and one gave good reviews and the other bad. Thought I would check with you guys. Thanks

i have doral tires. got them put on a year ago and just yesterday one of them literally melted because it overheated. A few months ago they were already dry rotting. i think i got hosed - they suck.
I had asked for a mid range all purpose tire and they gave me shit and charged me extra for it too.
i checked online and they don't have good consumer ratings either.

Thanks for the response. I was afraid of that. I couldn't find much info about them. I guess we may be going back to change them.

Ive had my doral 205-70r-14s forless than a day,at 65mph they start bobblin , at 75, feels like vans gonna grenade its shakin so bad.ive had these wheels on this van since 1985 without weghts or issue .thesetires are goin back, soon as i finish my cornflakes.you knw im serious.

I've always heard Kents sells second grade tires....you get what you pay for....buy from a legitimate dealer
