The article says that after he asked to file for divorce, she hired a private investigator, Christopher Butler, who has been suspect for these types of setups before. To summarize, he put GPS tracking on Katz's car, hired Carl Marino (an actor-model) to give a phony interview about a reality show as well as four women to encourage him to keep drinking during the fake interview. On top of that, it's suggested that the cop was in on it with Butler which is supported by a current investigation of Butler and a crooked cop being caught selling confiscated drugs earlier this year as well as many other crimes including kidnapping. The judge even said he was a 'danger to the public.' You can see his record with a quick Google search. The cop from Katz's DUI is now under current investigation. Carl Marino, the guy who gave the fake interview apologized and is currently testifying against Butler and says it was all a setup. Maybe we didn't read the same article? I'm not saying that it's okay that he was driving while intoxicated but when evidence has been gained illegally in a case, the evidence has to be dropped no matter what. I feel that applies to this DUI case as well. |

A former Contra Costa County sheriff's deputy who allegedly helped a private investigator with "dirty DUI" arrests has been indicted by a federal grand jury. Stephen Tanabe, 48, of Alamo, was indicted Thursday on four felony counts of conspiracy to extort under color of official right and aiding and abetting, in connection with the drunken-driving arrests. He is expected to surrender to authorities before a scheduled court appearance Monday in Oakland, attorneys said. Read more: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi... |

Not to change the topic completely, but this guy was making a lot of money by being dirty but nobody at the department or IA had a clue because everyone knows, yah, cops make enough money to live in Alamo. Normal regular working people that you hear of living in Alamo, you might say "Oh yah? What do they do?" Because you want to know - are they a doctor? a Lawyer? did they sell their start up to Facebook? Because its expensive. But a civil servant, hey, of course, that explains it! |

Yah, ok, we get it, you're one of Alicia's coven of bitter washed up divorcee hens and you hate Mitch, he's a dirtbag, pond scum, yada yada yada. None of that changes the fact that instead of simply conducting her divorce proceedings like a normal person, which non-pyscho bitches can manage to do all the time, by letting their ATTORNEY handle it for them, she orchestrated a criminal conspiracy relying on the bribing of a law enforcement officer and the subterfuge of several fellow conspirators in order to frame her husband. She belongs in jail. She certainly hasn't helped her argument for an equitable division of the marital assets. |
Laughable ... Alicia orchestrated no such thing.. Mitch got picked up by a cop with bad past. Disgusting that he's trying to blame her for his philandering with women and getting caught finally driving drunk. Seems like Mitch had dumb luck all the way around. Typical liar, blaming others. If he got out of his DUI because of the cop being suspect, why sue Alicia and try to blame it on her after the fact? he was drunk.. Seems like Mitch is the sick evil one. |

if he's suing his wife, wouldn't that make any proof she may have about his philandering become part of public record? especially if she was defending herself as to the real reason she hired Butler? Does Mr. Katz really want that information out on public record? I would think he wouldn't want his kids to know details of how he destroyed his family with his documented behaviors. But maybe this is good for business. Scandal sells and I heard he lost the lease to his tasting room because the owner Callahan refuses to continue doing business with Mr. Katz due to his behaviors. |
