Big Daddy's now open in Live Oak

In driving past the restaurant this past week we noted the sign now says Senior Discount (something they were not willing to give when we had eaten there before) and they had a special listed as a steak dinner for $7.99. Our prior experiences there were the reason our famiy just could not bring ourselves to try them one more time.

We will continue to hope for a country style family buffet at or near that location - something like a Barnhills, Ole Times, or Golden Corral.

someone needs to either lease or buy the old golden corral and make it something decent

The girl that works there does go to school! She's homeschooled and yes she likes working there!

she has no choice, but to work there..parents dont believe in letting their kids be kids, or paying their kids way..they make them start working at an early age which is disgusting..

Mr Barney is a moron! He doesnt know what he is doing. He is running that restaurant into the ground, he has ruined a good thing. It seems that nobody is good enough, lets see him try to take food orders and run food when its busy. He treats his family members and his wife like they are idiots, even in front of other people. He is a mean, lying, scheming crook. His world will come crashing down for being such a jerk to so many people. What goes around, comes around..

I know for a fact Barney does not know how to send or recieve email, because Barney can't do anything for himself. everyone else has to do it for him. He is paid a salary and does nothing "oh I am wrong he does something scam on the goverment" he is retired but is being paid to run his son's restaurant. Might be another wainwright going to jail? Could not happen to anyone more deserving then Barney Wainwright. He would have to change his attitude or someone would change it for him.
Short man syndrome would get him in trouble in a place like federal prison. might see Barney being man handled on u tube. Now that would be entertainment!!!!!!!

Have you eaten there anymore? No more lines the place is empty most all the time.. You can now have Mr.tacky come to your table blow his nose all while he brags about himself. tell him about how your the only one on topixs that likes him or the BBQ

I live in Live Oak and have ate there once and never again. Food sucked and way way over priced for Live Oak. Nice building.

Monkey - Do you know why/how have they lost that many kitchen managers? Have they hired another one?

I noticed that the big billboard advertisement is either gone or in process for re-vamping, but the semi-trailer with the ad on the side is parked where it is visible from 129; am assuming that is temporary until they move it to the next auction site north of there to advertise to people attending the auction.

The reason they have gone through so many kitchen managers and upfront managers is because mr barney is mean--he has scared them away....they are advertising for a new kitchen manager from what i hear....the billboard is gone because they couldnt afford it anymore

My wife and I tried "Big Daddy's" once and it SUCKS!! Neve again!!

Just a clarification note here - since the towns/cities listed here with screen names are usually not the actual one of the person posting, It is hoped that no one reading these comments would confuse the poster above listed as "lady" with "Lady" from the Suwannee County area. She posts under that name on many boards and is not the same person.

wow after reading all that everyone has to say it sounds like to me they should try to sell out and let someone with a good reputation turn the pretty building into a successful place to eat.

I'll put in my 2 cents at this time..... NEVER AGAIN!! And I want my 2 cents back!!!
