verizon cell phone service in live oak, florida area.

I am having a lot of problems with Verizon's service. I had Alltel before Verizon bought them out and I had no problems with Alltel. I could call from the mountains of Tennessee to Live Oak no problems, could call Miami Florida and had no problems, and I could call Phoenix,Arizona with no problems. Today with Verizon I cannot call some one down my street with out breaking up or dropped calls.

I called Verizon over and over only to hear them say I will have to buy a Verizon phone before my problems will go away. Hey, before Verizon took over I just bought a new(from Alltel) Motorola Razer VE20. This is a very good phone with the new up dates yet Verizon says I will have to buy one of their phones. This is a bunch of B.S.!!

On TV Verizon shows they are the BEST cell service going. They show all the people behind you and tell you they have no dead zones. Yea, Right! Just more B.S.!! When I make a call no ones behind me and I get dropped calls, break ups in mid conversations. I understand where the saying,"Can you hear me now came from". Verizon's piss poor cell phone service.

Now the saying is,"VERIZON SUCKS". That is when some one can hear you on their phone.

At no time did I receive any thing from Verizon telling me I had to get a new Verizon phone. That is, until they put their service in on the towers. Now it comes all Alltel people have to get a Verizon phone? I DON'T THINK SO!!!! I DID NOT MAKE THE PROBLEM VERIZON DID......DIG!!

Any one else having problems with Verizon in the Live Oak, Florida area???

Verizon didn't cause your "problems" Alltel did by selling out. Bottom line, if you don't like Verizon service change cell phone companies.

If you change companies you may find the service even worse in the Live Oak area. I tried one of those highly advertized JitterBug phones.It was exactly what I wanted in a phone - simple, easy to dial because the keys were large & did not touch one another, clear large display - perfect in every way except one. I could dial far off places and the calls would go through but if I tried to call anyone in the northern half of Florida or south Georgia, it would connect to a wrong number not even remotely similar to the one I had dialed, sometimes not even in the same area code. I could not even call my home number or the cell phones of other family members from my cell phone.
After many calls to customer service with details of the problem and listening to their promises to fix it, which they did not, I returned the phone within the first 30 days but never received the full refund they promised to send me. They shorted me over $30.
Perfect phone for my needs but useless, a sad situation. Neither Verizon, nor any other company, offers a phone anything like it.

One of the problems with "Jitterbug" is they use the Sprint Network, they don't have their own. Recognize that Sprint customers are going to get priority on the system, if there is limit system in an area your Post tells what happens to Jitterbug.

I guess this is now the American way. If one company is giving you bad serivce don't expect them to improve it just go to another company and hope for the best? American Pride has indeed gone into the toilet.
