There you go. Judge Jeff Almquist again. What a tool. We need rid of this idiot judge. He has no clue about the law. Where does Santa Cruz find these incompetent a-holes?

Wow Judge. Aren't you the same judge that just gave a slap on the wrist to another gang banger who was accused of a stabbing? I believe I read you allowed him to take a plea deal, mid trial and dropped his felony to a misdomeaner and he only got less than 7 years.

Looked at Connely's site. She's only actually tried three cases in her whole career. That's just the sort of inexperience that is currently plaguing the bench. Two of her competitors, Steve Wright and James Sibley have tried 100 plus jury trials one as a defense attorney one as a prosecutor. Either has vastly more experience in the practicalities of overseeing a trial court. Haven't we had enough of rookie mistakes.

As Mr. Bumble said, "The law is an a_ss"
We don't have a justice system, we have a lawyer's playground, where the judiciary hunts for 'i's not dotted and 't's not crossed while overturning a perfectly valid conviction for murder staring them in the face.
What a farce.

Connelly is a serious lightweight, apparently she couldn't didn't even get a job offer from the DA's office after they saw her work. You want experience on the bench look to either of these candidates.

Steve Wright is running for retirement - he is not a well man by all accounts and I am not voting for someone who will work a kick back schedule for 1 or two years then retire, sucking off of the public teat for the rest of his life - AND leaving the seat open for ANOTHER political appointment.

The whole trial was based upon lies on misconceptions.
Almquist and Rowland know what they did. They thought they got another notch in their belts but guess what some people fight for the truth and we all know what the truth does don't we!!!!!!!!!

This guy unloaded his gun in this victim. He is going to make a good bitch in prison. He probably wanted it that anyway. After his first romance in the " Big House ", maybe they can shank him about 5 or 6 times. Give that bitch what he deserves!

Better choice is Jim Sibley!! Watch as all the law enforcement agencies support him. He's the only one who is a prosecutor and believes in fairness with a firm hand, unlike all the other candidates who are quacks!

Almquist is a joke. He worked for my family as a lawyer (estate trust) and the work he did ended up being worthless.

Given the crime problems we currently have in our community, I will vote for James Sibley for judge next June. He has been a successful Santa Clara prosecutor for about 20 years, and he has lived in Santa Cruz the whole time.

Consider how the state AG Jerry Brown acts on this (By Dec. 21st) when you cast your vote for Governor at the next election... I guess the Gang influence over the local judges as well as the appellate bench is worse than I could have imagined....Why were the accomplices let off???
