The word “gay” doesn’t apply to marriage.
Sure it does.
This is all for another thread… Right box?
Then let the people vote… over 30 states that have, voted to leave the definition alone. I’m completely with you box!
The people should do not have the ability to punish minorities.

<quoted text>Yes, Jammerclo is pointing out the actions of gay people. Everyone on his list.
I disfavor singling out a group based on private sexual behavior or political viewpoint, publishing their names and describing their sexual behavior in the most profane manner; as a violation of human dignity. Same sex marriage supporters seem to prefer political gain over courtesy. I guess, this is another area where we differ.
I respect all gays while same sex marriage supporters only respect the ones that toe the party line.
You are lying, you have no respect for gays. Your posts make that clear.

Nope.

The real one, where gays are not protected from job or housing discrimination, can't get married, and are hated on by a significant portion of the population.

<quoted text>I agree, Rose keeps mentioning the 14th Amendment which explicitly recognizes men and women aren't interchangeable under the law.
That's a lie.

There is no gender equality in the Constitution or in nature.
There is gender equality in the Constitution. 14th Amendment. Women are covered under "US citizens". There is no equality at all in nature. I'm superior to you in every way.
Brian_G wrote:
Colorado Amendment 43 Recognized marriages in Colorado would be: only between a man and a woman, licensed, solemnized, and registered according to pre-established procedures and common law marriages only with a man and a woman who live together and hold themselves out publicly as husband and wife.
Join the good folk of Colorado, we want a Constitutional Amendment that affirms DOMA as constitutional law, to keep marriage between husband and wife.
We are banning nothing but government recognition of same sex marriage, you may associate as you please.
But that violates the 14th Amendment.
Why are you against equal rights?

Marriage is defined as one man and one woman. Under the law men and woman aren’t interchangeable, thereby NOT an equal rights issue.
Circular non argument.
And all US Citizens are granted equal protection under the law.
Why are you against that?

We are granted equal protection, even when that's not popular with the UN-American knuckle draggers like you. Why do you think we have a Constitution, and don't just vote on everything?

LOL… It never has, and doesn’t and even if what you say comes to pass it will still be “gay marriage” not “marriage”.
LOL!! LOL!! You're too funny
LOL… Right and you stated so many facts to back up that assertion. AND they don’t have “gay pride” parades, where they get naked in public streets either… Man they are treated so bad in this Country.

The Law states that marriage is between one man and one woman… Why are you against that? If it was an equal rights issue I would agree, however a gay relationship isn’t the same, thereby NOT being an equal rights issue.

I think you and box are just angry that there is a rational, societal, NON_RELIGIOUS argument to be made for civil unions… Let the people vote and let states decide for themselves. Right Atheists?

ALL this is for a different tread

Wrong. Whenever any two men or two women get married in Massachusetts or Vermont or Iowa or Norway or Portugal or Spain, it's called a marriage. It is not called a 'gay marriage'. That's just a label YOU want to apply to it.
Respect71 wrote:

It's common knowledge that gay people can't get married in most of the US.
It's common knowledge that gays don't get employment/housing discrimination protection in most of the country.

Do you really need specific sources for these statements?

Wow, they get to have parades. That makes up for all the discrimination and hatred.

You people do understand that "Respect71" actually believes the story of Adam & Eve is true, right? You're not really trying to have a serious conversation with him?

How can an adult believe that story?
