Poor Ms. Gratz, she actually thinks she, like Clarence Thomas, got accepted in law school because she was "qualified"...and that affirmative action or preferencial treatment had nothing to do with it. I hope she's as successful with her little girls...who will not stand a chance against the Asian intellectual pool which will render them to second class academic status. What will she do then? Revel in being treated equal and denied? Ha! fat chance. And, when was the last time she refused any courtesy, benefit, place, status or treatment given her because she's a white woman. Some things aren't legislated, Ms. Gratz, they're inherited and inculcated in us at birth...as has been the "favored" treatment you've received all of your life, whether you believe it or not. Just because you didn't get admitted to your school of choice does not mean your seat went to an "undeserving African American", maybe you believe all the white students admitted to U of M Law are PBK, I don't. Some of them were just your average students who had a better looking resume than you. And, some of the African American students were academically superior.

Don't worry Annie, U of M and other schools and companies will always have their way of taking care of the undeserving and the mooches of this world. Unfortunatly no matter how many times the real "racists" take this to court, this election will stand because the people of Michigan have voted ... voted to end awarding people positions who don't work for it and don't deserve it. It benefits NO ONE if a person is given a position that is unqualified. Look at some of the companies and the students who have failed miserably because of racial preferences. Why is this a Black/White issue?... Its because the real racists think they are entitled to something that they simply don't deserve. Any student who graduates in the the top 10% of his or her class should be accepted into any state college. Watch the respect grow between people, because all will know that people are there because they actually deserve to be. That would be the fair way to handle this - faceless, colorless, without any reference to race, gender or religion. Why does the black community continue to have such little faith in their children? In their communties? In their schools? Instead of always making yourselves the victims, stand up and get involved and help your children succeed!

You actually make the case for Prop. 2. By saying SOME of the African American students were academically superior. Then how did the African American students who were NOT academically superior get admitted ahead of her?
