Give away a bucket of KimChe with every Bobcat. After all, it is Korean. Maybe a family dog with every order too, that way the buyers can have a complete Korean meal out of the deal. Bring our troops home from Korea, they've been there long enough. Let China - whose got our money, deal with North Korea; after all it's their sphere of influence and we want our troops home. Stop buying equipment from foreign owned companies. Hell, stop buying anything from foreign owned companies. If we don't make it here, how important can it be/how badly do you really need it?

Blame it on the people that could have retired,,,They were looking for 150 volunteers to retired,,,I believe they got 4...That would have saved alot of junior employee jobs,,,but no,,,these old timers had to be greedy...I hope the whole place goes under...Then we'll see how these people living beyond their means try to make it with their new houses and fancy vehicles..I could care less...Maybe I can pick up a cheap ATV or Boat...Haha

Hey Bob, Lots of noise from someone who probably has nothing to do with the company. My husband works in MA for a Bobcat dealer in their service department. Construction is DOWN across the nation!!!! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND WHY THESE COMPANIES ARE HAVING TROUBLE! A nice blizzardy winter will help everything pick up.

Mary,,I have worked for Bobcat and only live a block away from it....and have worked for alot bigger company that Bobcat,,I worked for John Deere for over 10 years...You could fit 10 of Bobcat in one of their small factories...Their arent having problems,, matter of fact,,I talked to my old general manager and he said their sales are us and they are working 14 hour days,,,,And what would your husband know about Bobcat,,,how to change oil on a skidsteer?? If you knew anything about the plant at all,,,you would know that they asked for 150 retirement volunteers and got "4"..If these greedy old timers would have took the retirement,,,I guess that would have saved 150 from getting FIRED wouldnt it have....Just like people felt bad for the UAW workers..its the Unions that are pushing the work overseas with the high wages and all the benefits...We'll see how everyone feels about them when your taxes DOUBLE to pay for their bailouts...What most people dont know is a Union employee that is on unemployment gets sub pay from the company on top of the UA check..If they get $400 for Unemp. They also get a $200 sub pay check each week from the company,,,Thats $600/wk to do nothing,,plus save on expenses...Preach to someone else cause you have no Idea what your talking about...

This is for Bob. Why on earth do you think that the people that are 55 would want to retire? Why on earth do you think they are greedy for not retiring? Honey, who can afford to retire at 55? The largest severance package was $28,000. How long could you live on that? How about health insurance? That won't be there for very long either. You are just sadly misinformed and seem like a very angry person. Get over it. As for working for Bobcat, I doubt it. You would have known about the sub pay check and how it works. Yes, it is the employee's money, not the company's money. It is also paid out according to how much you have made for the week. Some of the lower seniority people used all of their sub pay up. I do not know anyone that received $200. I would love to see everyone return to work that was laid off. A lot of good people went out the door and we would like to see them come back. I would love to see the company back and running 3 shifts and orders pouring in. We don't have control over that. We only have control of doing the best job we can as long as we can. We need the economy to turn around and a new set of managers and the place will be working just fine. So Bob, if you hate it so much, why don't you just go back to John Deere...or do they even want you back? Thank you, A very satisfied Bobcat worker wishing the best for ALL workers in this tough economy.

I got layed off a few years ago and there were many who could have taken early retirement but decided not to. I had no hard feelings towards them....they didn't owe me anything. As it turned out, I got rehired by my old company and all's well.(((knock on wood)))!
